connect second tv to humax foxsat-hdr
Hi,
My dad's replaced his sky+ with a foxsat-hdr and wants to connect his 2nd tv to it like he did with his sky box, ie he has coax running to 2nd tv with magic eye. What's the best way to do it ? I've used a digisender myself in the past and it was rubbish, so a hard wired solution is best. Any ideas ? Thanks |

You need a modulator like the Triax TriLink which has the 9V power and the ability to re-transmit the Magic Eye commands as IR.

http://www.google.co.uk/products/cat...ed=0CGgQ8wIwAQ It's exactly what I did, although the kit comes with a new magic eye there's no need to use it, simply connect up all the kit to RF2 of the Tri-Link that you had connected to RF2 of the Sky+ and it will just work as before. The downside from the appearance point of view is the need to stick the repeater eye over the IR window of the HDR, it depends on your lighting how noticeable that is. Don't worry that it looks like it will block the remote to the HDR, it's fully transparent to IR and it will function as normal. |
