Ordered a Roku LTand it came yesterday. Spent a lot of time yesterday setting it up and investigating all that was available. Quality is very variable and I never got 720p, always 480p. Composite output is NTSC (what were they thinking for a European model?) and is not available at the same time as HDMI.
Anyway I decided that it was an interesting little box with lots of content costing less than a tank of petrol so can't really complain!

Until today that is. Was still working first thing but later all I get when streaming is a mauve screen. It's OK while looking through the channel lists but as soon as I hit play get a mauve screen. Sound still OK and still works properly through the composite lead.

Tried a different HDMI cable and a different HDMI port on the TV.

Anyone any ideas, or is it a trip to the post office to return it tomorrow morning?

Sorry I can't help but this "NTSC out" is why I don' t like Netflix, I have a Wii and it outputs pal60 if you switch to 50hz it stutters, I thought it was the Wii that was causing the stutter but obviously it wasn't, I have the same problem with my PS3, Netflix via HDMI no problem Lovefilm via HDMI stutter, Netflix via RGB stutter Lovefilm no stutter, Netflix is in NTSC Lovefilm is in Pal, Netflix has everything based in the US so everything is going to be NTSC thats why composite out on the Roku is NTSC

It's working again now. I googled HDMI mauve screen and found nothing, so tried HDMI purple screen. Apparently it's a HDMI handshake problem, a bit like the green screen problem.
