I think Imogen Thomas is really nice!

I know she was involved in a lot of scandal last year but I think Imogen is a genuinely lovely girl, anytime I have seen her she has always been very polite and it's a shame that not only her but her family received death threats because of The Ryan Gigg's affair.

Does anybody else agree?

No I don't. I don't believe a "genuinely lovely girl" would A) have an affair with a man she knows full well is married and has children, or
B) capitalise of said affair, posing in a Manchester united shirt, giving interviews claiming to be the victim.

I don't agree with her receiving death threats but I can't believe she is a nice person. To have the affair in the first place is bad enough, but to then milk it for money and fame? Shows a complete lack of morals.
She clearly wasn't thinking about how it would affect his poor wife, or embarrass her own family. And if she was, the cash and extending her 15 minutes obviously outweighed all that. His kids too, they will be able to read the sordid details when they grow up, is it that fair?

Before anyone says why does she get all the blame. This thread is about Imogen, I think Ryan Giggs is just as low if not lower.

Call me old-fashioned, but I tend to regard anyone who messes around with someone else's husband/wife/whatever as less than nice.

No I don't and stop being a wind up merchant. Anyone with half a brain cell can see she is nothing but a limelight seeking madam who thinks nothing of sleeping with a married men and selling her sob story to the papers with her baps on show. Behave!

How many premiership footballers who are married have had affairs ?

There is:

Wayne Rooney
Peter Crouch
Ryan Giggs
John Terry
Rio Ferdinand(all 13 years of it).
Ashley Cole

I bet that 99% of the time it was instigated by the footballer. If it wasn't then why try to remove their civil rights and place gagging orders on them ?

These footballers are just wonderful people .

Imogen was quite thoughtless when talking about the affair she had with a certain married footballer. She then wanted to tell every detail of it, presumably to make a fortune off it. Do I think she loved him? No. I think she went with him, hoping that an opportunity like that would happen. If she really did love him, why speak about their intimate times for? I think she used him to extract money for herself. He's just as bad for going with his brother's wife as well. He wasn't content with just one lass, but had to have two.

I think you are all forgetting but it takes two to tango, therefore Ryan is just as guilty. I really don't understand why it's acceptable for a man to have an affair but if a woman is involved she is condemned twice as much!

Did I say anything to indicate that I thought they were? The OP asked about one particular person, and my answer was about them.

I think she is genuinely very dull and boring and the only way she can get any excitement in her life is to see her picture in the paper, for whatever reason. I doubt if she slept with Ryan Giggs for any reason other than she knew it would generate publicity for her. She's a lovely looking girl, but she seems to lack any kind of enthusiasm or motivation for anything other than z-list fame.

Where in my post did I blame only Imogen? Ryan had two flaming lasses on the go, so he's quite low.

She's being condemned because you started a thread about her claiming she's such a 'lovely' person! Where did anyone say that Ryan wasn't guilty ........ perhaps if you'd started a thread about him he'd be the one being condemned!

Yes he was. She has no personality whatsoever, and was exactly the same when she did Celebrity Coach Trip. Very pretty but literally nothing to back it up at all.

I don't class her as a celebrity at all.

I see celebrities as people who are famous for actually doing something, a talent, whether that be an actor, singer, sportsperson etc

She went on a reality TV show and flashes her tits and flabby belly around for money. She then attends parties with the usual folk (Kerry Katona, singers off Liberty X, that Vanessa woman) and that's her life.

And what a dull and boring life it must be, living on the fringe of the lifestyle the rich and famous enjoy, and knowing that this is it, this is the pinnacle of success.

I agree. What an ambition. 'I shagged a married man and made cash out of it and I get slagged off left, right and centre but at least I'm sort of famous in a low rent way'

Living the dream eh

What are you talking about? Practically everyone who replied to you stated that Ryan Giggs is just as bad if not worse.
Imogen fans always use that as their go to for defending her. The fact that is wasn't even relevant given the responses you got, just highlights how weak it is.

So where are all of these posts saying it's ok for Ryan but not for her?

To use the favourite forum expression - 'they're both as bad as each other'. However, she's the one who has chosen to make a career out of it so she has no reason to complain when she gets criticised imo

Tragic, isn't it? Imagine knowing that this is as close to bonafide celebrity as you'll ever get?

All she has ahead of her is a 'career' filled with increasingly desperate attempts to try and stay relevant. Who could possibly envy this. Objectively, I feel sorry for someone so vapid and needy and lacking in ambition.

None of us know what that Giggs told her. He could have said his marriage was over and that he was leaving his wife and she believed him.

She herself said she slept with him on the first night they met, not expecting a relationship.

And she could have kept her knickers on until he confirmed he'd actually split from his wife.

No excuses for what either of them did
