No offence to her but in fairness hes brain dead the best thing she could do is take him off life support whilst he's alive and donate his organs.

It's hard and I've seen it first hand but she is torturing herself -- and saying Usher has not paid is a bit of a low blow maybe he hasn't been asked or doesn't know the situation

From what I've read the boys real dad is wealthy so there will be no problem paying for his care and I have to say I don't understand why Usher is being expected to pay for his care when both his real parents are alive.
God bless his family and I hope they find the courage to let him go soon.

Oh I didn't know that!

Mum should be asking the real dad, well actually DEMANDING unless she can contribute herself?

It could be a situation of not wanting to pay as they know the final outcome and its prolonging the mothers hope and going to make it worse.

Kyle now confirmed as having died, after life support machine switched off.

Hardest thing a parent will ever have to do, though it is the kindest too in this situation. I had a friend who fell off a Jetski and got hit by a boat his parents had to do the same thing and switch off his life support. They did however dontate his organs and there are 3 people alive today that would not have been.

Such a sad situation but what your friends parents did has to be one of the most selfless things any person can do. Once the intense grief wears off a little, it must give a small amount of satisfaction to know that others lived because of their son and so his death wasn't totally in vain.

I wondered that too, but I didn't read about it and I wonder if it was too late you can leave it too long and they are unusable.

I think people were talking about it when it first happened as the mother was saying she couldn't afford the med.

As utterly heartbreaking as it must have been for the family, it was the right decision irrespective of financial considerations.

RIP.
