i see where you are coming from but when Frow and Smith both say they want live feed and even say that it will likely be going onto MTV. Viacom as you rightly say in their recent letter have stated that we have moved on and social media is the way forward and yet live feed[only 1 hour a day] is in the schedule again. This has led us to much confusion and mistrust amongst all of them. All we want is a clear answer to some very straight forward questions but all we get is different versions from all of them atm.
The fact that this year's show was pulled early due to funds/poor ratings should be sending alarm bells to Viacom that this clearly isn't going to work for another 3 years. in its current state.

I just hope this time he takes the time to ask someone to answer the Questions Raised but wont take 12 weeks like the last time.

I didn't hear back from Ben Frow or Samwell-Smith

I also included that lovely article BBSpy did on the Importance of a live feed.
If it angered C5/Endemol it should work a treat with Viacom ”

Was that the article about Canadian BB? If so, I think it was mistaken about what a live feed would do.

Quote:
“This entire element of the show is such a shambles that's the main reason I keep asking them for a full review. They have the perfect tool to even start a survey the official website or get Digital spy to run it. They don't have any excuses It just suits them better to keep spinning the same Crap.”

Such surveys are not a good way to find out what viewers think, because participants are self-selected without anyone having enough information about the people who voted to be able to say what the results indicate about the wider audience. There will also be some people using sock puppets and other tricks, as was seen in some of the live feed campaigning in the past.

Quote:
“Coincidence one of the best received shows C5 did actually had some online feed?
it allowed content matter to full outside the 45 mins they have allotted for BB.
The website/clips/Twitter are a complete waste of time. They want the same viewing figures but without any of the vital elements that helped the show get people connected with it.”

I find this thread quite cryptic at times. Which well received show is it talking about?

Well Viacom seem very self selective in what they want from the show.
It seems utterly crazy buying the format then not making the most of the rights.
Each Time production have been asked about 3rd party getting the rights to the feed( which would be the most sensible answer given the hassle C5/Viacom seem to think it is) they have never said its a bad idea or would never happen.

The summer series was cut short that alone should tell everyone its just not working in the current state.

Its Brilliant there's an hour feed per evening at least it will get people talking its just a shame after all these years we are still at stage 1.

Sticking a few hours on early afternoon then a few hours say 23:30-2am

Just sticking an hour or so on last thing at night when there about to go to bed is pointless, we need to see them during the day , when something interesting may actually happen !

If the night feed gets viewers, Then the logic thing to do is get more hours during the day. I suggest 10:00 to 12:00, 13:00-15:00 and 16:00-18:00 on Five Star.

If they want viewers they would be better putting it on at a time when most of us (and them) are awake.

That isn't all people want, though. They want a live feed, and the questions are just steps in the process of trying to get one.

People want a live feed, and when they get some, they want more, or they want it at a different time, or both:

The only thing that would quiet demands for more would be a 24/7, unedited internet feed.

That's what the campaigning is really about, and everything else is just trying to get there.

apparently endemol are pushing for 'more' live streaming ,not sure that's news but time will tell on that [sceptical]

the latest c5 big brother survey has no direct question about live streaming
that is because -

a. they know what the general response would be and they wouldn't like the answer
b. they don't understand the format or the audience
c. some other reason

edit c. viacom are blocking any expansion of the streaming
d. some other reason

viacom happy to have the show locked down
endemol happy to diminish their big brother brand with the laziest of production values

worked out who loses out yet ? [ and it's not me ]

Doesn't understand what's wrong with a online live streaming link to the House.

Neither does anyone on this thread, however that's the stuff of dreams and fairy wishes as apparently it would cost far too much to produce and is therefor a non starter
