If it can't be fixed for free then maybe yes.

But am sure this is still be far more powerful than many 'modern' laptops including the Macbook Air.

I bought a case for it in PC World on Saturday. I was in there because my dad needed an external hard drive and I went along to have a look around.

Your local repairer sounds a rip off. The one I took it to here didn't charge to run the test. Took 30 seconds of their time.

iPhoto has had issues with Lion, since getting it back. Had to download an older version, then update it, to get it to open at all.

I don't want a new machine if the old one works ok.

I was considering it, but my voice sounds awful on video. It sounds high pitched and squeaky.

I might do the Air unboxing video yet! I'll see how I get on and if I feel like doing it.

My Air is in my little hands now, along with a Lion toy I'll be doing the unboxing and setup tomorrow. Just have to make sure my Pro doesn't feel left out or get jealous or I might be forced to install Vista on it

They are a joke. Last time I went in was to replace a bluetooth keyboard. It was still under warranty but the 'genius' made a big deal making out he was doing me a big favour by replacing it with a new one. He made sure everyone around could hear what a great guy he was being too.

Er - its under warranty therefore you are legally obliged to replace it, ********!
