Cat eye problem?
Magenta01

I may be watching him too carefully, but for the last week or two I have noticed that there is a brown area on the inner area around my cats right eye. I keep looking for infection, but there does not seem to be any, it just looks different to the other side. As I say, I'm watching him alot and have noticed he closes that eye more than the other, but other than that does not seem distressed.

Something to just watch, dare to clense or see the vets? Any ideas?

Cheers for your replies 101 people who have looked at this thread. I've spoken to my mum (aka font of all knowledge even when I'm almost 40) she suggests its a FB and to do salt water washes for a couple of days.

Your mum gives good advice. I have 2 cats and always use the warm salt water wash before rushing to the vets - in fact can't actually recall a time when this didn't work. Good luck.

I always use clean boiled then cooled down water for there eyes. I then take too the vets if it persists or they seem offish with there food or get hot or feel off. I would have answered quicker but my internet access is rubish at the moment

Thanks all, I'm giving it a go with the boiled (cooled) water, he certainly isn't off his food so I'm just keeping a close check on it
