Call My Name VS We Found Love
Both huge Calvin Harris produced #1s. Which do you prefer and why?

I thought Calvin Harris produced them? (I could be wrong!)

I probably prefer 'Call My Name', I find 'We Found Love' very grating due to it's over-exposure on radio. 'CMN' has been overexposed too but I guess I just prefer listening to that in comparison to 'WFL'.

We Found Love is a bit of a trend setter tbh! And just plain CLASS! the beats are most definitely Mr Harris finest! (Where Have You Been is my favourite production and tbh i feel his best work of his!) and Rihanna just has that grating vocal on it...quite a powerhouse modern dance classic.

Call My Name is fun but only really big in the UK (but even then....) plus with that the production isnt that much interesting tbh....but i do like it.

I love how the progressions of each song are so basic yet the production is so complex. I'd say each have their merits. I find CMN has a stronger chorus, but WFL feels a little bit more heartfelt/emotional in its meaning. Production wise I can't choose between them, I love the instrumentals to both. I like the weird bells in CMN.

Vocals wise I'd say Rihanna delivered better...for me overall, I just prefer WFL because I love the meaning, it's euphoric and happy yet with melancholic, slightly questionable undertones...Calvin has always impressed me. I like his remix to Florence's Spectrum too.

This is such a hard choice both songs are probably the best pop songs in the past twelve months!

I agree with people who've said CMN has a stronger chorus it definetly does and I love the intro and Calvins production!

However overall I'd have to go with WFL it started of all and tbh CMN is a great replica of it! There's more diversity I feel in WFL and Riris superior vocals make up for the lack of lyrics and full On chorus, and most of all the production is just out of this planet , it's something I can't describe but when I hear the opening of WFL im literally transported to a rave lol even now I can still listen to the song over and over again!

Just one thing how come Rihanna is Ft calvin whereas Call My Name isnt ????

Anyway We Found Love hands down so much more energetic,

WFL definitely. Better vocals, better production and better lyrics.

I liked CMN initially but I got bored of it after ~10 listens.

Though to be fair, I haven't even bothered to give Call My Name a proper listen. I've only really heard the chorus and it didn't impress me at all.

The melodic phrases of 'We Found Love' are far superior to anything Cheryl Cole has released. But when either song resorts to the typical Harris breakdown they both becomes piles of shit.

Both are pretty much faux dance music for tweenies, but We Found Love is at least passable.

Don't get me started on the bandwagon jumping Cheryl creature.

I think We Found Love is much popular than Cheryl's song. it is more fits the format, which is now perceived by young people.
Anyway these two songs are really good and inflammatory.
