The Killing season 2 question (spoilers)
I'm currently watching The Killing for the first time and so far I'm on episode 3 of the second season. While everything has made sense up until now, I'm still somewhat hazy on a few things and I'm hoping someone can clear it up, maybe? So, I'd like to know..
- Holder's business with the bald man (also, who is he?) - Why the lieutenant was replaced with Mary Alice' husband from Desperate Housewives - What Holder did by switching the bags and why it seemingly exonerated him from being in the wrong Thanks! |

The bald guy is the guy that got Holder the job, he's a dirty cop. He made Holder believe that Richmond was the killer which is why Holder knew the photos were faked but let it go, the means justified the ends kinda but now Holder knows something is going on. The lieutenant was also shady and retired partly to get away from it all, he knows Linden and Holder are right but is also protecting himself as he knows the people they're dealing with are heavy hitters, they pretty much run the city and the police can only do so much and he also knows there are dirty cops on his force. Holder switching the bags is just a red herring to make you think he is a bad guy, the reason the bags are switched is because he knows something is wrong and that the evidence is being tampered with. That's why they just take his word about the bag he replaced being Rosie's because they never had any intention of testing the blood samples on it, someone in the department wanted that bag gone and when they tell Holder that they tested it, that's Holder's confirmation that something is wrong within the police department.

I have just watched both series, and I am still puzzled about a couple of things:
In series one, when Linden is in Darren's appt. and hears the email signal, if he is innocent, why is he 'Orpheus'? What was Rosie even doing on the tenth floor of the Casino? Was she an escort? What was the money she was depositing? I must be thick, but alot of what was happening wasn't expalined enough for me! Last edited by gemini666 : 14-07-2012 at 12:04. Reason: Spelling |

She went up there for one last look at the city before she ran away. She was running away from home to see the world. No, she went to the Beau Soleil web site as she found out Terry was an escort and was curious. Her wages from her room service job at the Casino and tips for the when she did some waitressing there. |
