I often wonder where you would go with the Draconians if they were brought back in the new series. They're not really evil so you couldn't have them as invading planets and being villains etc.

I'm sure if they did come back, they would think of some clever way of writing them into a story.

Maybe having another fallout between Earth and Draconia would be the obvious answer.

Yeah I enjoy this one.

Pertwee and Delgado are both on brilliant form, and the Draconian's are very complex creatures.

Very good, all in all. Even the effects are decent.

I like the scale of this one, you see quite a lot of the universe in this one and get a decent appreciation of the state of the universe, with all the different locations. Which considering it was set in the Pertwee era, gives it a breath of fresh air.
I like the fact there is a Draconian Embassy on Earth etc.. and I like the stories with a political slant towards it, much like The Curse of Peladon another Pertwee era story set in space with a political backdrop to it.
Surprising then we have not seen the Draconian's since really.

I don't really mind that Jo and the Doctor aren't pushing the action. I love the grand scale of the universe the story presents and it wouldn't be so enjoyable. if the action always occurred around them. Sometimes you just stumble into a place where other events are already happening.

I always thought the scene where Roger Delgado's Master revealed the Daleks was one of the most badass moments in the entire show, it's just a shame the following story couldn't live up to their surprise appearance. This was Delgado's last story before his untimely death however and his final appearance on the show was certainly worth writing home about.

The Draconians are some of my favourite aliens to have appeared in the show's history, so it's always bugged me that they've still never returned on the television.

Yes please -bring them back to new Who -I think there's a few of us out there who would like to see them back & as they were always more than 2 dimensional aliens, they could work quite well in the new series.

No please -don't redesign them -the design of the Draconians worked perfectly well in the original series, don't ruin them as happened with the Silurians who ended up looking more Draconian and being more like trustworthy versions of the Draconians (kind of), and thus losing their more rudimentary, primeval "monster qualities". Which I think worked better for underground/ undersea dwelling reptilians who wanted humans off "their planet" -aka the Silurians/ Sea Devils (back when you could write about a species in general being opposed to humans, before the PC police got involved).

So maybe that's the problem -it is now difficult to bring the Draconians back as the dumb arses in charge made the Silurians both look too much like the Draconians and possibly behave too much like them as well.

The Ice Warriors did very badly out of their C21st revamp. Leave the Draconians where they are, I say.
