I was wondering that.
I'm hoping a shopping channel has been sacrificed!

From a516's blog: "Arqiva A recently activated a tenth video stream, using previously unused bandwidth, which is currently dormant for most of the day."

Are the hours not use for 4seven?

Does it say anywhere explicitly that it will be 24 hours? I know the food network site suggests it quite strongly, but you never know with marketing spin.

There is a 7am-midnight slot free in Adult Party downtime.

I don't know, I lose track of it, but the quote was lifted from the post about Food Network's hours being extended, but it now adds "and it is possible that Food Network may be utilising this extra stream."

4seven: Arqiva B 12th stream
Food Network: Arqiva A

There is no mention of retuning in the Food Network Press Release, so it would imply that Food Network stays on Arqiva A. Also, being that close to the Olympics, it would surely fall within the Technical Lockdown period (note that the BBC has all their extra services ready on the EPG, plus the CBBC temp channel in Tyne Tees and Ulster, so that all they need to do is flick a switch - all the background tech work and LCN additions have been done ahead of the lockdown).

Big Deal (on air) incidentally is Arqiva B, TV News & Stars (both still off air) on Arqiva A.

Are they basically using the capacity on stream 7 that is currently only being used from 00:00 - 07:00 by Adult Party (according to this)?

There'd still only be 10 streams in total - it's less crammed than Arq B which has 12 streams and loads of radio stations too *shudder*. Still, the average bit-rates on both multiplexes make me cry.

Maybe the plan is to remove Top-Up TV services completely, which'd leave SDN, Arq A and Arq B all with 10 streams.

The bad referrer on my site Is fixed now but http://bsaoc.com/Channels_EPGs_Multi...ultiplexes.pdf is more akin to what capacity is available on Arq A & B.

A new Food Network stream appeared at 1100hrs on Arq A. So no retuning will be required. That makes a total of eleven streams on Arq A between midnight and 2am post DSO only.

There is no capacity on Mux C so it seems as though pre DSO regions will not get 24/7 Food Network until they go through DSO. I imagine they won't get extended Create & Craft either.
