A couple of weeks ago my ten year old cat had an abscess under his chin, in the throat area, which he scratched and burst. On the advice of my vet, I bathed it with salt water a couple of times a day and it is now almost healed. But today I noticed that one side of his face looked puffier than the other, I've felt around and can feel a lump in the area where they liked to be tickled. He doesn't mind me prodding it and even seemed to like it, but wonder if there is any connection with the abscess?
