Puppy hasn't pooed!

Hello, I may just be worrying over nothing, but yesterday we brought home a beautiful female chihuahua who has a lovely temperament and gets along very well with our other dogs. But she just hasn't been for a poo yet, I thought it may be because she's nervous or stressed, but it's been nearly 24 hours, how long should we leave it before taking her to a vets? Or is there any food type that may help her along! She isn't stressed or anything, all she wants to do is snuggle, I'm just worried she's holding something in and could make herself ill! She's eating and drinking normally and we've shown her the toilet!
Thank you in advance!

Took Mollie two days to go when she came to live with us and Duncan took nearly 3. The shock of moving and new home etc may be causing it. I would add we took them both to the vet for a check up the day after they came home to us. Where the vet pronounced them healthy. I would suggest a vet trip may be a good idea, I would suggest it to anyone getting a new dog anyway.

Thank you, that's reassuring, it sounds like it's normal then, our other boy is a bit of a bruiser and had no qualms about it at all, so that's why I was worried, she seems perfectly happy! We'll take her for her first check up regardless!

Our cat did not poo or eat for three days when we got him as a kitten, vet said to hand feed him some weetabix with a bit of cat milk, lol did the trick, not sure if same advice would apply with pups though I am sure the vet will help though good luck xx

Update! She pooed actually later the same evening, had her checked out at the vets and she's fine, having a great time with lots of people cooing over her because she looks like a fox cub! She's still very placid I think that's definitely down to her moving away from her mum though! Thanks
