new release on Monday (29th November) Jay-Z and Linkin Park joint album - Collision Course

GG may be biased as Linkin Park is his favourite band - but I have heard all the tracks and they are awesome. It really really works. If you are either a Jay-Z or a Linkin Park fan or both - then this reworking of their music fused together is a little bit different and so good.

I highly recommend it.

the points of authority / 99 problems / one step closer mix really works well ..... and it's the best one!

It scares me. It is as if some record exec decided to take two of the most annoying concepts in music, rap and whiny angst rock, and fuse them together to make a gargantuan turd the likes of which has never been seen.

“I have done it,” he might say, “I have created the most obnoxious song ever to exist!"

I think it's absolutely brilliant.
I'm a big fan of Linkin Park and Jay Z - it just seems to really work. Mike Shinoda is a genius
It's a hard choice, but I'd say Points of Authority/99 Problems/One Step Closer is my favourite - but Numb/Encore is great too.

It stemmed from an MTV Mash project I think - and they'll fuse anything with anything.

The MTV Mash of Britney's "Toxic" and LP's "Faint" is brilliant, it works really well.

I think this is terrible. I like the mixing of the Linkin Park track, but the lyrics by Jay Z completly spoil it.

I thought id have a look for the Britney vs Linkin Park mix, and that does sound good, but this one doesnt work as well, its just Linkin Park remixing their song with someone shouting over it.

The single - the name of which escapes me - is dreadful. The linkin park side of sounds like everything else they have ever done and Jay-Z adds some forgettable vocals. Result - poor.

Its called "Numb/Encore"............I don't think its too bad, although LP stuff is really best left unmixed with other songs.

Ha. I'd forgotten about that one.

These sort of collaborations shouldn't happen. But I'm no Linkin Park fan, so in this case, I don't really care.
