After months of waiting - its finally here, the moment where Rhys finds out that one of his daughters was switched at birth. Yes, it may be a bit OTT and american, but you may be amazed to know..

12 babys go home to the wrong parents each day.

I can't wait for tomorrow when Jade finds out that she's not related to Kirsty!

What are everyone elses thoughts?

After already seeing this episode a couple of weeks ago, I have to tell you that it is FANTASTIC. It will bring a tear to your eye, especially the moment when Jade realises she's the one that was switched.

All very good stories, building up to when they took their break for the 'lympics.

I actually was a bit wary of the twin-switch storyline at first, but once I'd seen it, I realised it was actually really good. Okay so the idea is a bit weird since 4 years ago we had the 'twin-pyschic' storyline during the mudslide. But watching Jade's reaction is great cos this is her exit storyline starting to unfold. Plus seeing Laura is good, especially when Kirsty sees her for the first time (which I think happens tomorrow in the UK?!). Anyway, despite first impressions not being good, I do like this storyline now!

Plus I'm looking forward to Duncan-the-devil-child returning! I hate the character but he is so screwed up! He's basically determined to make everyone life a misery, cos he's miserable being in SB with his dad. And he starts with Jade......

Home and Away has been fantastic recently (well it always is) but the past couple of weeks especially.

The Flynn/Sally/Leah/Jessie story is just excellent.
And now the twin story!! This leads of next week to Robbie and Hayleys birthday where things turn tragic!!!

Coral the ex-Executive Producer planned to make it much longer and wanted to do it last year. We would've seen it more gradual such as Jade and Kirsty finding it tough, an good and evil twin storyline and a storyline where Jade divorces her parents.

Ha ha ha evil twin!! I am so amused by this storyline, because I went on www.homeandaway.com.au and read "Sally's Diary" till the end and I thought it would take like, a couple of weeks for the twin storyline to happen but the very next day, Jade's real parents run in.

Is it going to be just Kirsty playing her twin and they are never in the same room. Cos that is just classic.

Christie plays both Kirsty and Laura and they are in the same room together quite a lot. It just means Christie has to talk to herself when filming the scenes. They are in the same room tonight, when Kirsty walks in from the kitchen after having been looking for jade, and comes face to face with a girl who just happens to look just like her!

That is true, but never take Sallys Dary word for word, I don't know who writes that but a lot of it is wrong. Apparently on the olympics cliffhanger Alf and Colleen come round with food and drink?

I have to say I am loving Home and Away at the moment. I'm addicted! I have relatives in Ireland who say that this storyline is, you know, an OTT idea but the way it is written and acted makes it very believeable. I am really lookg forward to when Kirsty and Jde find out which is tonight I think?!

Looking forward to seeing Duncan back. I always hated him but he's not staying for long this time is he?

The Leah/Flynn/Sally/Jesse storyline is another I am enjoying very much. Mondays ep which was entirely dedicated to this was just brilliant! Its a shame to se Sally and Flynn break up but they'll get back together... won't they?

Spoiler

Duncan does stay for quite a bit. In that time he causes trouble for Jade, Seb, Tasha, Hyde and finally his Dad, who thinks he's failed his son.

Do you think for the simplisity of it all, they should have let sleeping dogs lie? What they don't know won't hurt them...

You got to admit, that was good camera work with both of the twins in the same room. I s'pose they do all the scenes with one in and then the scenes with the the other in...

It all sounds a bit Sunset Beach to me.

No weirder than Bobby stepping out of The Stewarts' fridge door, though.

I know what you mean Sloopy, but I guess if it was well done it would have been good. (I don't watch).

That's the thing- a lot of soaps do stuff that's OTT, but depending on how well it's done they can get away with it. Even this stuff with Maya in Corrie is OTT but they are getting away with it.

It is done surprisingly well actually, despite it being so OTT. The way things are going, I think that this is the way things will be in all the soaps regularly soon.

Yeah they do, Christie has to learn twice as many lines and when shes doing scenes with Kirsty and Laura talking to each other, she has to talk to herself. (which no doubt makes her feel kinda stupid, but it does work!)

I'm sure originally Kirsty and Jade were meant to be non-identical twins... I'm sure that was mentioned....

They were thought to be non identical purely because they obviously looked nothing like each other at all!! But now we know that it is because of the swap and the real twins were identical.

I believe that the other family found out because there was an illness in the family and they were all tested as potential donors, the tests showed that Laura could not be related to either of them... or something like that.

I missed last night's episode, I'm gutted. I probably won't get chance to see it again until Monday. Does anyone know how long they're keeping Laura in the storyline for?

Ahhh. I see now

Still a bit of a random storyline though. Seeing as they used to go on about having that mental connection like in the mudslide.......

The mental connection bit is the more random and unbelievable storyline... even if they were non-identical twins they would be no closer to each other biologically than they are to Dani!

It would have been known from pre-natal scans and certainly at delivery that these twins should have been identical. It would have been obvious from very early on that a mistake had been made.
