I'm guessing that you don't find very many comedians funny?

I love Jimmy Carr, Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre, Dara O'Briain, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Ross Noble etc..

I cannot abide Russell Howard, Frankie Boyle, Al Murray, Paddy McGuinness, and everyone else who has ever appeared on the woefully unfunny Mock The Week.

When I see old footage of more vintage comedians like Tommy Cooper, Ken Dodd and suchlike I'm usually in hysterics.

Most of the names mentioned on this thread are just not in their league, but I don't think they're as bad as some posters are making out. Shappi certainly isn't.

The modern comedian I loathe more than any other is Leigh Francis, in any of his guises, but especially as Keith Lemon. Get of our TV screens you crass, moronic, unfunny git!

Ah ta! Anything for material I suppose...I think some comedians actually have kids just to get more material. Like Joan Rivers getting a facelift.

Sarah Millican.

Besides the "I'm a slob who can't cook" line, she has nothing.

How she got a show is incredible.

She's just a face that presents it. Her material is probably written by someone else.

Of course it's not. Do you think someone was writing her material when she was doing tiny comedy clubs in front of 50 people?

Well said-I think I would rather watch paint dry than watch/listen to the current bunch of talentless twits who call themselves `comedians`-the only thing that is even remotely funny is that they alowed to get away with this pointless twaddle!!

Because comedy, like any other business, is led by demand. You might not like any modern comedians, but clearly many people are willing to pay good money to see some of them. Or are people only allowed to subscribe to your style of humour?

Personally, I can't stand Jack Whitehall, Andy Parsons, Chris Addison, Russell Howard, Rhod Gilbert, Mark Watson, Andi Osho, Gina Yashere... pretty much most of the guests on Mock The Week. Frankie Boyle was the best thing about it. There's a few other comedians I dislike but I can't remember their names, but when they come on the telly I switch over.

Then how come she's so popular in Newcastle? The accent is pretty normal up here you know.

Well if someone can take a look at the credits after one of these shows where she supposedly writes all the own material and put us straight , I'd be grateful.

I like most of the comedians on TV to be honest. I don't like Frankie Boyle though, and most of the female comediennes around are pretty unfunny to be honest.

I really like most though. Russell Howard, Michael McIntyre, John Bishop are probably my favourites. Oh and I love Milton Jones.

I've had kicks in the nuts that are funnier than him. You couldn't have picked a worse example.
