Gavin and Stacey tribute
OMFG there is probably already a thread on this amazing sitcom but I wanted to start a tribute thread. BEST sitcom going. Found that ground between completely surreal and totally realistic.
It also knew when to stop unlike so many other sitcoms who have just jumped the shark. I love the way they left questions unanswered too: DID Smithy and Nessa get together? WHAT exactly happened on this fishing trip? (I actually DON'T think it was anything sexual tbh) WHO is Jean and what's she done to make Gwenn hate her so much? WHY are Gary and Simon always refered to as the same person? Brilliant programme. |

JC has admitted that he did become very big headed over Gavin and Stacey but has now realised he's not as great as he thought he was and appoligised for any big headed comments he may have made.

Yes, he has. But it has actually made no difference to his personality. He apologised because he was told that he needed to water it down or he would become the most hated man in the universe. Sadly his behaviour remains the same - a very nasty little man.

I couldn't care less about the show, but James Corden gradually grew on me, especially after being on Piers Morgan's Life Stories. I felt the need to give Gavin and Stacey a go and now I consider it to be one of my favourite sitcoms.

I thought Gavin and Stacey was brilliant but I am starting to tire of seeing many of its cast members popping up on various shows based on its success. Just because I liked the programme it doesn't necessarily mean I liked the people in it (aside from their characters) and am desperate to see more of them..

I thought Gavin and Stacey was brilliant, really realistic in some places, and then just fantasy in others. There's a lot of little touches that I thought were great, like the unseen characters such as Jean and Lucy, the character's nicknames that are always said like Dave Coaches and never explained like Chinese Alan, and the appearance of John Prescott and Noel from Hear'say in the wedding episode.

Loved the show, espcially Pam. Mick our Dawn and Pete but Joanna Page and her whining voice was a desperate turn off..I actually didn't like the character of Stacey all that much.

Absolutely love it - I don't know a single person that has watched it and doesn't like it! One of my favourite comedies ever - mostly due to the standard of the perfomers in it. I really don't rate Mathew Horne or Joanna Page, but the rest of the cast are just mind-blowingly good, especially Ruth Jones, Alison Steadman, Rob Brydon and Julia Davis.

I genuinely cannot believe that anyone was taken in by the performacne on Piers Morgan's show. It was painfully obvious every time he was seeking to hide his true personality behind the story he wanted to tell. Even his tone of voice changed every time. Poor actor. Awful personality.

The pathetic show he put on simply indicated how much he thinks he is at the centre of the universe. The fact that it was a terrible flop and truly awful was no surprise. Nor is it any surprise, given his awful personality, that he wouldn't even have noticed how sh!te it was.

Hehehe. Although the assistant referee may have been very incomitant (hehehe), Corden's mistakes were a thousand times worse.

Corden is sort of growing on me, he doesn't seem as bad as was a few years ago.
