Sorry if this has been covered before. I've searched but the info is out of date...

Anyway, have just bought a foxsat HDR to replace my foxsat unHDR and am gutted at the EPG slowness. Have read that pressing shedule & red gives a responsive EPG and have read about beta software that fixes this so that it's just as responsive from the guide button. However, this info seem to be out of date and the links just take me to the page on the humax site with the current software.

So, is there currently a fix that will give me a responsive EPG from the guide button?

You press the schedule button on the remote and then the red button. If you install the custom firmware and use the web remote control you can create a single button to do it. If you have a programmeable remote with macros you can do the same.

Pressing guide ditches the existing full epg and downloads a whole new one fron Eutelsat28A. Using schedule/red loads the cached version from the HDD so is virtually instant.

Start a recording and press quide, you get the cached epg because tuner1 isn't available to ferch a new epg.

Thanks! It helps me to understand why it works the way it does.
