Hi Everyone,

I recently bought the SE K700i, got a bluetooth dongle yesterday and can transfer photos/video off the phone, great. Unfortunately, I don't appear to have any software to play the .3gp videos that I have recorded and downloaded.

The CD-Rom that came with the phone is not compatible with windows 98SE, very poor!

Can anyone recommend some software to download to my PC?

Also, I tried to copy some video from the PC to the phone, that 'Wazzup' clip from a few years ago, I think it was about 2mb, it just stopped about a 10th of the way through. Do clips that you copy to the phone have to be in a certain format, size. Perhaps the Sony disc has something on but I don't know.

Any help on both would be appreciated, thanks.

Gnome.

Quicktime should play the 3gp video format.

As for transferring files ove bluetooth, this can be hit and miss I find, but generally the larger the file, the greater chance of it failing.

Does the k700 have a separate memory card? If so you'd be better off using that.

I'm speaking of the T630i but Sony Ericsson have been good at keeping their new phones standard....

In your BLUETOOTH software you should be able to pair with the phone, and then view all services offered by the phone. One of these will be OBEX File Exchange, just drag and drop the files from that

As for software to back up contacts etc i use FloAts Mobile Agent http://fma.sf.net (open source freeware) although i have no idea if it works on Windows 98
