YouTube ending support for Internet Explorer 7
When going onto the YouTube site I get the message:
You are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 web browser. YouTube is ending support for Internet Explorer 7 soon. Update your browser now. I am already running IE 9 - is the message just appearing on everyone's PC or does YouTube have some way of knowing what version of IE a PC is running? I assume that I do not need to take any action? |

It's easy to detect the browser being used to access a website

perhaps you are using the compatability view on youtube's site which may be reporting the wrong browser version

Thank you guys - you were both right about me using compatability view on YouTube. I hadn't realised that once I had used CV it would always be on even though it may not need to be any longer.
Presumably I should go through all the other sites that were listed as being shown in CV and remove them from the list? |
