I saw this message from Sky while watching WWE NXT last night:

Quote:
Notice for people who ordered WWE Summerslam using the Sky Remote and set it to record.
Please can you delete it from your planner and reorder by clicking on Sky Box Office on your remote. We have fixed an error involving playback. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

I ordered via the sky remote and it just came up to record without any payment info or asking me to confirm and i thought something might be up(you get nothing out of sky)

Thanks for the heads up.

Does anyone think WWE will ever broadcast a PPV in 3D?

Wrestlemania 29 would be perfect should they choose to do so.

Was there not talk of them recording Summerslam in 3D a few years ago for internal testing then there was nothing after that.

Reks and Hawkins as strippers is the most random gimmick change I think I've ever seen!

Not really, Vince McMahon still thinks he lives in the 1980s/1990s where you can keep introducing these awful gimmicks.

I mean for a start he still keeps giving cheesy "ethnic" gimmicks to all the ethnic wrestlers, I bet if you wanted to break into the WWE and you were from England he'd make sure you sound somewhat like William Regal and walk to the ring holding a cup of tea.

Funny I havent seen Layla or Barrett coming to the ring with a cup of tea just yet (that and Regal's gimmick was actually a product of WCW not Vince and his creative team)

Where did you get that from. 1980s never had awful gimmicks . The last 10 years had bad ones heartthrobs and the dicks. Those are bad gimmicks.

The mid 90's had some awful gimmicks (TL Hopper, Duke "The Dumpster" Droese, Isaac Yankem, Man Mountain Rock, Mantaur just to name a few).

How on earth someone thought a gimmick based on a plumber would be a success is a mystery.

Beefcake, Akeem, Hillbilly Jim and the Red Rooster were more over with the fans than 90% of today's roster.

There's a half-page ad for SS in the sports section of the sun today, it has...'The perfect storm' as it's tagline, and Brock has water dripping off his face, has there been storms in the US lately? Am i missing something? or is it just generally using summer based weather related themes for that reason alone? As it's summer?
