You do realise that a Rangers fan had previously done the same thing on Celtic this season when they suspected that they were over-estimating their attendance at the unfurling of the flag??

I have felt the proposed Armageddon of ranger's absence was primarily a west coast thing.

Yes, I'm fully aware of that but since we aren't claiming 'world record' attendances I can hardly see how it is relevant.

I actually remember him as being a very decent player for United but nowhere near worth the £10m quoted

“The tenant” will be able to buyback the stadium. In year one the price would be £10m (they would still owe the £6.55m loan). The set price increases by 12% p.a. for 10 years, so the year-10 price would be £27.7m. Thereafter “price will revert to Market Value but will not be less than £20m”. The market value of Celtic Park is around £50m. There is no buyback provision for Murray Park or the Albion Car Park.
The deal is on the table but will not be signed before the share issue, or if “the tenant” wins the Euromillions Jackpot (that’s not a euphemism for Champions League money, I mean the actual lottery), or finds some magic beans.”

I wouldnt sell Wanyama for £10 mil. We dont need to sell and his current contract means we have time. Keep him for another season and then see where we after that.

He had a fair amount of natural ability. The £10m valuation was in keeping with much of what Golac came out with at the time. I loved Golac though, it has to be said, the contrast between him and McLean was just too ridiculous for words.
Golac brought in Petric for us who was a great player at the time and he wanted to sign a guy called Branco Brnovic and take him into the midfield. He would have been a star - he ended up in Spain cos we wouldn't pay £600k for him. I think he had a good career with Espanol or some average Spanish side.
The potential was there under Golac - both for success and total chaos!!
