Me obsessed with Rangers?

What a load of bolloxs

Just because I accuse Rangers fans being obsessed with the SPL I get accused of being infatuated with them.

I openly admit to despising them though, I've no problem with that. I mean, really despising them
I don't say that I don't share many of your thoughts about Rangers. But with me, many of these thoughts have a context in having been built up over very many years of following Scottish football.

You do seem a bit obsessive about them ( and indeed say you despise them ) for someone that has said he basically only took much notice at all of Rangers or indeed Scottish football from last season when many of their err issues emerged..

If I'm honest then I would have to say that I really only despise them when I read some of the nonsense spouted by people like 'TrebleKing'. His arrogance and 'holier-than-thou' stance is sickening to the very core.

Whenever StoneCold talks about them I have tend to have a lot of sympathy for the decent Rangers support. However, the way they act is not only child-like at times, it borders on moronic.

Hope that clears things up - even slightly

3-0 again to the mighty tangerines.

I thought Willie Collum had a good game except for the Dundee penalty shout, apparently it's a complete stick on pen, there were a couple of flashpoint and he just had a word a calmed them down.

I was listening to the radio commentary while I was at the game. At first I was hacked off that it was so pro Dundee with Willie Miller and Billy Dodds summarising, but as each goal went in, Dundee denied a penalty and United given one, it was brilliant they could not have been more annoyed if they tried.

Watched the game on Sky and I was amazed Collum gave a penalty to Utd for no apparent reason. As a Utd fan I'd have been raging if that had been given against us.

The third goal was a mega jammy OG with Flood's attempt at goal going about 10 yards wide. No wonder he looked embarrassed when it went in.

Pleased with the 3 points but thought the score flattered United.

Dundee have very little cutting edge and have to take every chance they get. The miss from the boy 7 yards out first half was shocking.

Just seen the D'Utd penalty incident - I can see why Dundee are fuming - Willie Collum played an advantage from which Daly had a shot at goal - only blew the whistle when he missed.

He didn't play advantage, he took a couple of seconds to make his decision.

Has Craig Gordon retired? Or just giving up looking for a new club as he's always on sportscene these days.

He took long enough to allow the shot be taken and saved. Had Utd scored, would he have pulled it back, of course not.

I think with that decision and the penalty he didn't give, Dundee can consider themselves unlucky.

Gordon is still a free agent. He was linked to Everton a couple of weeks ago but nothing solid has come of it (so far).

Laughing at your 'Sell Out Saturday' farce at the start of the season, and I'll be having a similar giggle at the next one.
SPL Combined - 31,774
Ibrox - 49,913

The only show in town...
From hell's heart I stab at thee; for hate's sake I spit my last breath at thee.

That was the mantra from SPL clubs earlier this year. Forgive me for having a laugh at their pathetic existences.
The SPL made a loss of almost £12m according to latest accounts, Hearts were served with a "winding-up" order recently, Hibs debt has increased to nearly £7m according to latest accounts, Celtic are offering tickets for Free for upcoming home matches v Ross County and St Mirren, the team sitting 2nd in the SPL attracted just over 3000 fans on Saturday at home, Aberdeen's chairman has "written-off" the clubs £9m+ debt by "converting" the debt into shares, yep its all good.
As TrebleKing says in the quote below....

You should concentrate on your own shitey club.

Yes you should TrebleKing and SilvioDante, The Rangers have nothing to do with the SPL. Why are you talking about it?

SPL reject any notion of moving SPL games to give Celtic more time to prepare for the Last 16 CL ties, even though Celtic haven't asked nor made any indiction that they wanted it.

(QPR & Celtic supporter and I quite like Dundee United. Like to see Hibs do well for HK and Rangers to do well for StoneCold )

The main problem with comments like that is when the facts are revealed and make you look rather foolish.

The The Rangers average home crowd this season is 37124, for Celtic it is 42444. Celtic's average is 5320 higher.

The Rangers highest attendance is 49913, Celtic's is 59168. Celtic's highest attendance is 9255 higher than that of The Rangers.

482658 people have went in the turnstiles at Ibrox, at Celtic Park that figure is 636663. 154005 more.

The only show in town indeed.....

Utter nonsense, especially as you are obviously including matches in european competition played at parkhead. For SPL/domestic Cup home games "the self-proclaimed greatest fans in the world" attendance has been awful, 14,000 v raith, arbroath etc, hence the reason 2 FREE tickets are available for season ticket holders to pass onto friends for the next 2 home league matches. Maybe help you to open up the top tier of the stadium. Love it

Facts are facts wee man.

Celtic's average attendance is higher,Celtic's biggest crowd is higher, Celtic's overall attendance is higher.

Celtic, the only show in town.

In other news, there was an MSP on the radio his morning saying that Celtic and Aberdeen have been given the go ahead to trial 'safe standing' at matches.

As you are so good with statistics could you give me the total for alternate weeks for both leagues when rangers play away as only home games tell half the story.

Here's a fact - next week Rangers look forward to hosting Annan - while Celtic look forward to the draw for the last 16 of the Champions League having qualified with a record points total for a Scottish Club. We also hold the record for most wins by a Scottish club in the CL - despite playing in the region of 20 games less that our nearest rival.

Look, your team in in the CL and should walk the SPL, why are all the celtic fans on here still obsessing over a team that is 3 divisions below them and has no impact on them at the moment in any way?

Get on with your own game, the fact that all people in this thread want to talk about is rangers is proving that they are the biggest team in scotland.

Move on.

Admit it, your lot are gutted no one has gone bust yet in the SPL and that Celtic are progressing well in Europe - there was people like you who were hoping for the worst to come true and it's been far from it.

Hence why every weekend Celtic aren't at home a ger mentions attendances in the SPL.

I think you'll find that it is Rangers fans butting in when no one is talking about them that causes most of the problems. Most people can't even remember Rangers being in the SPL now ... it's great
