Good result for Celtic today, took a while to get going and Ross County played some good stuff in the first half.

Blew them away in the second half though, great to see Forrest back.

Nice touch to play The Clash at half time on the anniversary of Joe Strummer's passing as well.

From wanting zero tickets for Tannadice Chuckles now wants them all.

He fairly knows how to keep The Rangers in the spotlight even if it does make him look like a complete tit.

Somebody, somewhere, in Scottish football really needs to have a word with Green. Everytime he speaks he stokes up more hatred from a buch of fans who hate anyway.

This guy is going to cause some serious trouble. And as usual the Scottish media allow him to spout his nonsense.

Dont see the problem with D'Utd selling tickets to those pesky Chelsea supporters.

There is no problem, it is something they do for us and something they did for Rangers matches when they existed,

Frankly most folk couldn't care.

Just really Rangers fans and some Celtic fans that are silly enough not just to ignore these cries for attention.

My pal who's a season ticket holder at parkhead got me one of the "freebie" briefs yesterday for Ross County match, (better 2nd half showing from celtic, 1st 45mins were dire)but it seems celtic feel the need to exaggerate attendance figures, 49,500 was given, no way was there more than 35,000 attending. Back in the day the White/Kelly dynasty would tell porkies about the crowds, making them smaller than they were (obviously for VAT/TAX purposes), strange days indeed, now celtic are trying to inflate their attendances!!!

Exactly, united will know who they are selling to. And in most cases they will be card payment so names, addresses etc will be known.

I was saying to a friend earlier that Green reacts the way fans want him to, but chairman can't do that. I would bet Stephen Thompson's 'fan reaction' would've been to tell Rangers to go whistle for their share of the gate, but he knows as chairman of Dundee United he has to do what is best for the club.

Anyone listen to the David Begg documentary on Radio Scotland? Great listen, whether you like his commentary or not. There is a podcast, but it cuts out the commentaries used (rights issue)

Listening to his commentary on Celtic v Man utd. How can anyone ever think he's anti-Celtic?

Your chairman was all too eager to put the boot into rangers when they were in trouble, he can't tell rangers to "go whistle for their share or the gate money" either- we don't want it, charity will get it, SFA rules state its split 50/50. When dundee utd draw an away tie in the cup at ibrox or parkhead and you bring 500 fans to a crowd of 40,000 why should you get 50/50 gate receipts?? Rangers would have a 5,000 ticket allocation at tannadice earning dundee united around £125,000 @ £25 per ticket. Whistle for it now (or actually fill your ground for a change-surely now you can since mr thompson has reduced ticket prices?)

I've never detected any bias at all with Begg's commentary (except at Scotland games). He's a fantastic commentator in my opinion and miles ahead of anyone else in Scottish football.

If you're a fundamentally biased football supporter, though, then you'll think any objective/unbiased commentator has an agenda simply because you don't agree with them.

I'll believe Green will give it to charity when I see it. Btw, Thompson doesn't want Rangers to go whistle for it, that was me who suggested that.

We get 50/50 cause those are the rules, granted Rangers might not be familiar with them.

I have to check but I don't remember any cup tie at Tannadice being £25.

FYI, your replacement in the SPL brings better crowds to Tannadice than you do.

Yeah, your happy with the 50/50 rules, when it suits, you bring a paltry away support to ibrox or parkhead(rub hands), the gate money is definitely going to charity(although it'll be less now since your chairman announced reduced admission prices, £25 was originally quoted for away fans) PS our "replacement" which brings better crowds will be relegated in a few months, best enjoy them while you can.
Mark.

He made an excellent point when he said that all commentators sound biased in favour of the attacking team. Which is true -- obviously if there's a promising attack going on, which may ultimately lead to a goal, you're going to sound more excitable.

If you're not, we're back to the days when radio commentary was in its infancy and we have people describing games with emotionless RP.

Not content with stats about attendences they are now going to parkhead and doing a head count what next I wonder?
