They had a go at the SFA for 'Rangers' not being able to play any public matches.

What is happening is that Sevco Scotland, as a brand new company that is trying to become a football club, do not meet any of the criteria for SFA membership so the SFA are bending over backwards to try to give them membership.

One time Rangers hero & Celtic striker Scott McDonald's view on stripping titles from Rangers

In today's Sun

Quote:
“The unfolding Rangers saga still has some mileage left in it — with the SPL dual contract probe ongoing.
But McDonald has no interest in Gers being stripped of any titles — claiming it’s all past history.
He said: “As far as I’m concerned, there was a team on the pitch that I had to beat. At times I did, at times I didn’t.
“That’s all that matters to me. Eleven against 11. Other stuff about money is up to other people.
“Those guys tried their best to beat us and we tried our hearts out as well.””

Craig Beattie & Ian Black training with Rangers http://m.stv.tv/sport/football/clubs...-with-rangers/

Both would be excellent additions to the squad if they can be signed up, especially of Beattie can remain fit

The criteria they don't meet is only if they are applying for a new share, rather than have the existing share transferred though isn't it?

Hearts couldn't affort to keep Ian Black, in part due to Rangers not paying half of Lee Wallace transfer fee. Now Sevco want to throw money at him to play in the 3rd Division.

I don't know which is more shameful. A more than capable SPL player whoring himself out to a team in Division 3 or Sevco wanting to sign him.

They truly are the peepil.

Which is definitely one way to look at it. I do agree with what he says to an extent but he may have had more success had the players he been facing been of a significantly lesser quality.

He'd have had more success if he was a stone lighter.

When you consider some of the margins involved it should be recognised in history if Rangers FC cheated to win titles and have those titles removed.

For the players the moment has gone.

Sevco/Rangers (whoever actually holds it) are refusing to hand over the SPL share for it to be issued to Dundee.

STV believe Ian Black has agreed a three year deal with SevCo Scotland subject to SFA membership transfer.

It's not yet known how many jobs are likely to be sacrificed.

FT Celtic 0-1 Norwich, Holt scored an offside goal in the 89th minute.

Apart from that the performance was much improved.

Helsinki won their second leg 1-0 so we will play them next week.

Perhaps, but personally, as someone who doesn't support either side of the Old Firm, I'd rather the whole stripping titles business was left in the past. I can see why Celtic fans care about it, but for the rest of us it's a fairly superficial debate. Certainly if other clubs ended up out of pocket due to a stalemate over this issue then I think that would be a nonsense. I doubt the rest of the country are willing to die on their sword just so Celtic can have a few extra titles next to their name.

Following talks between #Rangers, SPL and SFA tonight, it seems the situation remains at deadlock. No further forward with SFA membership

Sticking point in way of #SFA membership is Rangers insistence that they are not prosecuted for dual contracts.

Yet they want to keep the history.

Dean Shiels is in talks with SevCo Scotland, seems someone wants to build an SPL side for Div.3
