I think we may accept it so Wilson is back when Ambrose is in the ACoN.

Would be a risk to appeal what with the break coming up.

Thanks mate. Now I understand. May as well take it, I presume

I notice most of the media lead with Lennon 's condemnation rather than the actual trouble at Dens.

If it was the organisation not the fans how come there was no trouble at the derby? Fans were drinking together before and after the game. It was a sell out, and there was no problems getting to the turnstiles. Just wondering.

Which Celtic and Wilson would be silly not to accept.

Who said it was solely organisational problems?

I have to LOL at the fat lying mess that is Ally McCoist claiming that players blessing/crossing themselves has never been an issue at Ibrox. Ex players have said they were told not to do it and we seen the way that hordes of their support behaved when Boruc did what he does every time he plays. The 'Cheeky Chappy' has shown his true colours over the last wee while especially with his lie over not knowing who was on the disciplinary committee earlier this year that ended up with death threats.

You did indicate there were problems with policing. Although I think it was a combination of several factors.

I'm actually surprised Tayside Police allowed the game at that time. They're usually pretty strict about kick off times. They resisted Friday football at first, and this is the first time in about 15 years I can remember both Dundee teams playing at home on the same day.

To be fair in the past it wasn't an issue because they wouldn't sign Catholics.

I think the last year/18 months has destroyed McCoist's cheeky chappie image. He's come over as a real nasty piece of work.

You are right about McCoist, a nasty piece of work over the 18 months. Unfortunately the media will always portray him as the cheecky chappie, a smile and witty comment for all!!

I would've thought FPLG would've denied all knowledge of knowing who Sandaza was.

'Who is this Sandaza?'

tbf though the bigoted signing policies of the past etc.. are still part of OldCo history it's just the trophies that were bought by NewCo so in effect McCoist is correct.

Although, in many ways, one needs to try and show some empathy with McCoist, I agree 100% with you Jill.

I used to really like the guy. Now I view him as a bit of an arse

I also said that there were Celtic fans there who shouldn't have been there as they had been on the bevvy all day.

Drink has a lot to answer for ... I'm thinking about giving it up in the New Year. It's really pissing me off, tbh.

What McCoist actually said was: "It's not even an issue for us. It never mattered to me before and it won't matter to me in the future. It's not an issue for us at all."

Sandaza blessed himself, nobody cared. He was applauded onto the pitch. Celtic fans are trying desperately to make something of this, perhaps to try to distract from events at Dundee.

If it is not an issue, why did someone at Ibrox tell him not to bless himself? Is Sandaza lying? If he isn't, who told him not to bless himself? Has McCoist tried to find out who told him? Surely McCoist would want to find out who told him, after all, it isn't an issue, and he will wish to put the individual right that it isn't an issue!

Of course, Chuckles Green could just come out, perhaps in his New Year message, and make it very clear that this club has no problem what so ever with any Catholic player blessing himself running onto the pitch at Ibrox. That would set the record straight once and for all.

Failure for him to do so would suggest that it is still a problem at Ibrox, and McCoist, once again, isn't being quite truthful.

The Scottish media will make sure that Dundee isn't forgotten, don't worry about that. Yet, in the 21st Centuary, in a Scotland that hopes to be an independent nation soon, at a new football club, it seems that a player who is Catholic, is told not to bless himself as it will 'upset' a large number of that clubs fans.

A few idiots at a football match in Dundee or the same ongoing issue of sectarianism at a football club, just what is the bigger issue here?

The bigger issue is what happened at Dundee, like it or not.

There's no real issue when a player blesses himself and nobody bothers, only a desperate deflection attempt.

What happened at Dundee was not nice, but these things happen at football matches sadly. Celtic have idiots that follow them, just as every club has.

However, a Catholic player, signed by a new club, born from the ashes of a club that had a history of sectarianism, has claimed he was told on signing not to bless himself.

This new club had the perfect opportunity to ditch its shameful sectarian background and start fresh, open for all. Rather than do so it seems it retains its sectarian baggage and rather than deal with this, it is swept under the carpet, nothing to see attitude.

Of course Sandaza could be lying, is that what you are suggesting?

Of course not. Sandaza was quoted as saying somebody advised him not to do it. It may well have been somebody who thought the fans would react badly. But they didn't. It has been made clear that the club (which isn't new, obviously) doesn't have an issue with it.
