Fair enough. Good point and you'll be glad to see a derby match again for the first time in a few years.

I hope so, and i mean that genuinely, i dont want to see Scottish football teams go to the wall, i want us to have a strong National team, and clubs (any clubs) going under pulls us further away from that.
I was hoping that some Rangers away matches in Div3 and Div2 would be held in a larger stadium (Hampden for example), in order that the extra revenue provided by rangers could be taken advantage of by these smaller teams, it could have really helped inject money into the lower leagues.
Of course they will still get some extra money through packed home games they will have, just not as much as i would have hoped.

hah i see motherwell could be in trouble for fans throwing objects (paper) onto the park, pa anouncment told the well fans to stop untill later on they chucked coins at the player who kept feigning injury.

sporting integrity indeed

Is this the same Rangers that got humped in the champion league qualifiers last season? You will have a long wait to play in Europe again.

You see this is why unfortunate events keep getting brought up in this thread, people cant help themselves and post silly things like this, knowing full well that someone will retaliate with the real shameful things that went on in Scottish football, and they are then labled "disgusting" by these same people.

Why even throw in a snide comment, it brings nothing to the discussion, other than giving fuel to the hatred, rather like what has been going on between rangers and celtic for the lash century, some people are incapable of letting go of their hatred.

BTW, im hardly Mr perfect on this issue myself

How can Rangers fans think one perverted man's actions are comparable to nigh on 100 years of institutionalised bigotry?
I know what I think is more shaming for the a Scottish nation.

How dare you timmy.
Walter got us to a Euro final by managing to score goals in 3 games out of 9 don't you know?

StoneColdSS excepted the Rangers fans on here still display the detestable arrogance and superiority complex that got their club where it is today.

Here's a thought, when was the last time, if ever, that the Scotland national team included players from the SFL 3rd division. Do you think it is likely to?

Bang goes the Saturday 3pm I was hoping for!! Off work so will still make it but it's so annoying as lots of people have made arrangements as the Hibs site stated 3pm Saturday.

Although no broadcaster yet the Hibs game on Sunday was rescheduled to 1pm and no broadcaster has been announced yet either.

More than likely ESPN will have it. At least your still in the same city and have an extra week before the game. Celtic v Aberdeen was only announced on Monday that it would be 12.45pm and the game is on Saturday!

Anti football tactics are nothing to be proud of. How many games did he win in the elite competition which is the CL. His record is nothing short of disgraceful!!

There are bigots on both sides of the fence, some have been bigots for so much of their lives that they see it as normal to be that way.
This happens with both Rangers and Celtic fans, its sad, but at the moment the way it is.

What is slightly irking is that some on here think they are the voice of reason, when their posts are just as hate filled and bigoted as the person they are "in discussion" with.

As i said, im far from innocent in all this, but i can at least be honest and say that i do see both sides of the story, and i do see the things i have posted may not be impartial, they are far from it in fact.

However if you look at the hate filled posts from folk on here towards rangers, its quite telling.
No matter what is being discussed, a way will be found to turn it into negative slant against rangers, and in situations where they cant find a negative slant they will simply reduce to namecalling, or call them "newco" when they knew full well that was the company name that owned Rangers, its petty and vindictive and shows the hatred some have for a certain football club in Scotland.

My point is, there are hate filled bigots in Scottish football, but they certainly aren't all Rangers fans, as the history of this thread will show.

I can agree with some of that but it still doesnt change the fact that only one club practiced widespread bigotry for the majority of its history and didnt even apologise for it.

The fact that that the owner of the newclub which still claims to be the oldclub accuses other clubs of making decisions based on bigotry is nothing short of a joke!!

If anybody can be bothered I was thinking of doing a SPL prediction league, similar to the Scottish Cup one I did earlier in the year....If people fancy it then i'll post games and point scoring later on. I'll have a better/quicker way of doing the scoring so I won't be waiting weeks to post the table. I'll make a seperate thread so to keep it away from the main topics of conversation.

You see this is it, Celtic are as much part of the bigotry as Rangers ever were, but the focus is on Rangers being the scapegoat.

I spent my formative years being raised in a shithole housing scheme in glasgow, i know first hand of the abuse, beatings and hatred dealt out to people for not giving the rights answer to the question "who do you support", or the beatings for being "protestant".
It all looks rather silly now i live away, but i still see the hatred everywhere when i look at scottish football, it is sad, and i hope it could change now with Rangers and celtic being separated.

But i think the hatred and obsession shown towards Rangers from certain parties has done its part in ensuring that the fire of hatred is still raging on for years to come.
The constant kickings they have received over recent months has put a lot of Rangers fans into the mindset of "we dont care, we will prevail", now that has been deemed arrogant by those doing the kicking.

i think most have given up caring what others think now, so the saying "no one likes us, we dont care" have come to the fore.

Sad, but true.

The only sad but true scenario is that Rangers still feel a right to feel aggrieved after the years of cheating, lying and stealing ...

Personally I disagree with this. I grew up on a 'shithole' council estate in Cambuslang which was mostly Rangers supporting and also attended non-denominational schools. I (and the few other non-Rangers fans) took plenty of abuse, mainly for my Irish surname and not being one of the 'peepul' but I never received a beating because of it and I never saw anyone else take one either.
I did have to sit through back to back renditions of The Billy Boys, The Sash, Derry's Walls, Simply The Best (extended FTP remix) etc. on a daily basis on my school bus though.
I don't think the big problem is physical violence but the effect singing songs like these have on children's future attitudes when they are constantly labelling those who do not have their beliefs as somehow inferior or subservient. It certainly made me glad I wasn't a Rangers fan. Bigotry doesn't always have to manifest itself in physical violence it can be much more 'sleekit' than that.
Sevco have shown they are willing to play up to the 'We Are Rangers, Super Rangers...' nonsense judging by CG's recent comments and their new slogan 'Together We Are Rangers', pandering to the us against the world morons who so proudly sang their hearts out on Sunday, things aren't about to change anytime soon.

Well i cant disagree with your experience obviously, seems mine was different to yours, and probably different to the next persons.

When growing up, i seen the violence and hatred from both sides, i seen local schools fighting each other because one is catholic and one "non-denominational" (or protestant as really they were known), it is just a badge that people have for each other that is passed on to the next generation.

By the way....Cambuslang?.....Luxury!!!
