Calling up players from the 4th tier of Scottish football is terrible.

Its completely illogical to use European performance as a measure of how or why Dundee United will not be better than other domestic teams in our domestic league. Thats all I'm saying.

I'd rather he did that than call up players with hardly any connection to Scotland. I don't want Scotland going the way of Ireland for example players only interested in playing for us because they can't get a cap for the country of their birth. Never again do I want to see useless bastards like Matt Elliott or Nigel f#cking Quashie playing for Scotland.

As long as the players are good enough then I dont think it really matters if they are born in scotland or have a scottish grandfather. Quality is what matters and scotland should be looking to pick the best players possible.

Picking players from the lowest tier of scottish football is nothing short of laughable. Lets be real scottish div 3 is no better than non league football in england so how can levein justify picking a player that plays at such a standard? Ian Black is nothing short of a glorified sunday league player anyway.

David Goodwillie now in the squad again despite not playing club football or unlikely to be until he goes out on loan

That'll be okay, though, because he doesn't play for Rangers. Perfectly acceptable to the Tartan Trannies.

I prefer Scotsmen or sons of Scots people to play for Scotland. The Grandparent Rule is arrant nonsense.

Rangers could potentially loan up to 9 players from Newcastle if this deal goes through. Will JJB be happy to walk away though or will they be yet another aggrieved party?

Sorry TK but I don't agree. If I was to move to a different country with my family then why should my grandson - not that I have one - not be able to play for England? I prefer it when countries field as strong a team as possible and so do the countries involved when their team plays well.

If we look at the Republic of Ireland and the players who play for them it doesn't seem as though any of their fans give a toss as long as they are eligible. I'm sort of glad that they have English born players etc, as it makes me want them to do even better.

Even when they beat England Jack Charlton was manager so there was some comfort in that as well. Also, I felt quite proud that the Irish loved Big Jack the way they did ... let's face it, he's a grumpy oul sod at the best of times

lol and why would any player from newcastle go on loan to play for The Rangers in Div 3. What benefit would a player get playing at such a low standard?

Not results, attendances. Even celtic couldn't fill the tin shack for the unfurling of the league flag last week. Plummeting attendances await the s p hell. Jog on

I assume the years of indoctrination make it very hard to shake off the superiority complex.
You struggled to a draw against a team of part-timers, your 'superiority' is over!
And your desperation to see every club in Scotland except The Rangers fail is saddening but not unexpected.

Yeah, a bit like your rabid desperation for anything Rangers to fail is also saddening but not unexpected either. BBC Sportscene was a joy to behold, empty seats aplenty, expect more of the same in the coming months as apathy sets in.

I don't want anything Rangers to fail but I would like them to be punished for cheating. I don't want them to fail at all, I have a lot of Rangers supporting friends that I *whisper it* actually feel sympathy for. It wasn't their fault this happened but on the other side of that coin they weren't complaining when they were winning everything in sight in Scotland by spending more than the entire league put together.
You cheat, you get caught, you get punished!
That's how it's supposed to work at least, here in Scotland it's 'You cheat, You get caught, You think EVERYONE should be punished.....except you'

Your comments do little to change peoples opinions of the average The Rangers fan.

Lets see how often The Rangers fill there stadium. I know they already beat East Fife in front of a 38,000 sell out crowd in their 52,000 capacity stadium lol.

Stay Away Saturday more like. Less than 50% of seats sold. Aye, a barnstorming success...
