Stv will air Helsingborgs IF v Celtic FC live.

Not because they actively pursued the rights, but because they get it as part of the ITV Champions League deal.

Sky will show the second leg.

Attendences will stay roughly the same this season for most of the clubs in the SPL.

Aye, maybe so, you could be right. A real sickener for the organisers of this farcical nonsense on saturday though, eh? If they were trying to prove a point, all they've done is make themselves look like embarrassing, gormless tits.

Caley's attendance has alwasys been poor, bar Old Firm games. I think with Sky and ESPN confirming their contracts, some fans probably didn't think sell out Saturday was as needed as it was, and didn't bother to attend.

The Aberdeen fans proved their point, average attendance last season was below 10k - inc. 1 Rangers game.

Another game outwith the game with Celtic that reaches 14k will wipe out any loss of ticket income based on last season if they keep to the same average attendance.

The local rags down here (and the vaugely respectable BBC Radio Newcastle) are reporting that Newcastle will send 9 players on loan to Rangers if Mike Ashley's deal goes through.

Obviously they aren't going to be players that are anywhere near the first team squad. I can't see the benefit of this for either side.

Newcastle's kids that they do send could probably get a better quality of football playing in the English lower leagues or this new Premiership Development League and why do Rangers want 9 kids?

How sad it is to see Rangers fans reduced to cheering low attendance at SPL games. Sad yet thoroughly understandable given the mindset they regularly show. What next - an official set of figures from the RFFF? Well, it would be a good way to spend the 'millions' they raised

Does that apply to kids (U18/21) though?

Wouldn't put it past Ashley to send some of his 'stars' up if he thought it'd make him a few bob

From reading the rule in full only 2 of the 5 can be over 21.

David Leggat has been fined £1000 ( the maximum allowable) and suspended from the union for writing threatening material about me.

Leggat has now apparently resigned from the NUJ.

Just because them there are da rulez does not mean one must abide with them.

I highly doubt that Aberdeen can pull another crowd like that in. Christ, look at the media campaign to whip up interest for saturday's 'monster' crowd. Even that couldn't generate enough interest to get them past a paltry 14,000.

TrebleKing- they can't see the wood for the trees. Their hatred of all things Rangers beats love for their own clubs. I work for an SFL club and you would not believe the hate/abuse/threats our Chairman received during the period of the vote on which League to put Rangers in. Karma is waiting for them just around the corner.

Surprised he's resigned for that when he didn't bother when he was convicted for assaulting a teenager back in the day with a bottle

Do you also teach English in a Spanish school and snort cocaine in pub toilets with SPL players?

Just accept your punishment with some dignity and concentrate on getting out of div 3. The Rangers no longer have anything to do with the SPL. Get over it already.

I was under the impression Rangers hadn't been punished at all or "enough" in your eyes. Dignity is a great word then again so is the phrase "sporting integrity"

Well you were lucky to get div 3 status but thats not good enough for The Rangers. You are the people and how dare the SPL/SFL decide a newco starts at the bottom.

I'm looking forward to the SPL season and potential CL football for celtic. I know you and your fellow supporters are desperate to see SPL clubs fold to somehow claim a moral victory which is laughable considering all this was caused by your club.

If the EBT ruling goes against you will we see guilt, apologies, sorrow? of course not, we will again see more blame put on someone else.

What you mean SPL grounds were full every week when the club formerly known as Rangers were in the league? Thought not.
