Loved Charles Green's impromptu speech while among the fans in the queue for season tickets on STV news tonight. 30,000 season tickets sold and counting. Wonderful

Aberdeen won 2-1 against Man Utd and the 21k+ crowd gave Darren Fletcher a standing ovation when he went on as a second half sub.

Tremendous turnout for a foggy midweek game in August.

No real surprise but appears Charles green was talking bollox when he said the rangers had settled all scottish football debts.

Dundee united have released a statement saying they are yet to receive payment

The money was paid to the SFA who have, apparently, yet to distribute it.

The SFA returned it and told Green to contact the clubs direct.

Or maybe Dundee United's bank took the lot. They are being micro managed by them after all. Never mind, a good Euro run should help....oh, wait.....

now things are clearer.

NewCo took on OldCos football debts while at the same time waving any right to last season's SPL prize money.

NewCo assumed the SPL would then pay D'Utd out of that prize money which the SPL never agreed to.

Meanwhile as a result of the hoohaa surrounding the tv deal payments due just now will be delayed until the SPL receives its installment from Sky/Espn.

Clear as mud you mean, like all things in spl/sfa managment.

Rangers have paid every other football debt they have, there is an agreement in place that the money owed to dundee utd was to be paid from the winnings Rangers gave up in order to get their licence.
The authorities have already paid half of it off, and dundee are now just waiting on the other half.

But, it now eems the authorities are having "cashflow problems", in other words they are skint and cant afford to pay their debts, so now dundee is asking where the rest of their money is, the authorities are claiming they dont owe the money, Rangers do!!!, despite already paying half of it.

God, you couldnt make it all up.

Whilst I admire your loyalty to your club TK, your constant belittling of every other SPL club, be it their crowds, lack of ability relating to Euro success or whatever else you can find to 'mock' them with, I am beginning to wonder if life in SFL3 is not about to give you an almighty 'orgasm'

Maybe it would make all of The Rangers FC supporters to stay in that division and maintain your superiority complex you all hold so dear.

Meanwhile, the rest of the footballing world will continue to laugh their bolloxs off at your clubs spectacular demise. It has become a thing of sheer and 'true blue' beauty

SFA to divert Rangers cup tie money cash to Dundee United

By Jim Spence
BBC Scotland
Dundee United have confirmed that they will apply to the Scottish Premier League for payment of £32,000 owed to them by Rangers.
And the SPL says it could look at the possibility of paying United the money due out of league funds.
The money owed is outstanding from their Scottish Cup tie against Rangers, now in administration, in February.
The Scottish Football Association has already agreed to pay United £35,000 of the outstanding sum due.

The money has been offset from broadcasting revenue from the competition that would have been distributed to Rangers
”
Scottish Football Association
United will now apply to the SPL for payment of the remainder.
An SPL spokesman told BBC Scotland: "There has been no request of that kind made, but it is possible that we could look at doing that."
Rangers entered administration 11 days after the Cup tie at Ibrox on 5 February, when Dundee United won 2-0.
The SFA issued a notice of complaint against Rangers for not paying United .
Rangers and their owner, Craig Whyte, were due to appear at a hearing relating to that and other charges last week, but it has been delayed .
An SFA spokesman said: "The Scottish FA has notified Dundee United that they will this week receive £35,000 of the outstanding money from their William Hill Scottish Cup tie against Rangers in February.
"This money will help meet part of the overdue payable to the club and has been offset from broadcasting revenue from the competition that, under normal circumstances, would have been distributed to Rangers.
"The Scottish FA has informed both clubs."
A separate issue of unpaid monies following a league game between United and Rangers was settled earlier this week."
”

Looks like more untruths from the footballing ruling bodies.

Heres one from today
STV
Here is what is posted on stv website.

"The agreement was clarified in a letter, the wording of which has been obtained by STV, sent by SPL secretary Iain Blair to Rangers on May 18 this year.

It read: "The Board of the Scottish Premier League Ltd considered the application by Dundee United that the outstanding sum due by Rangers to Dundee United of £31,031.20 be offset against the next sums due to Rangers by SPL Ltd, with the offset sum being paid to Dundee United.

"The board decided to accede the application to Dundee United and accordingly the sum will be withheld from the next sum payable by the SPL Ltd to Rangers, and the sum will be paid by the SPL Ltd to Dundee United."

Should agreement not be reached over payment then the Scottish FA could be asked to act as arbitrators by Dundee United."

To be fair to Uriah, taking potshots at anything that moves isn't really comparable to a bit of schadenfreude at the expense of tax evading cheats.
