Scottish League Cup semis, final and Scottish Cup semis and final will not be played at Hampden in 2014 due to the commonwealth games.
Mark.

That's been known for a while, I think.

Fairly obvious that if a final or semi-final doesn't involve Celtic or The Rangers, it'll be played at the other's ground. A game between the two will probably have a coin toss to decide the venue, because I can think of better ideas than sending both sets of fans towards Murrayfield...

Commonwealth games are not in January so why is that?

Usain Bolt has requested a running track is placed around the Hampden pitch.

No need, they can use Easter Road and Celtic Park (likely venue for the Cup finals, also the venue for the opening ceremony in which Her Maj will be paying a visit to Paradise)

We had Russian journalists asking our players if they watched Braveheart before matches, we had Russian journalists asking if Celtic should build a statue of McGeady because of the fee we received for him, we had Russian journalists asking Lennon that if Celtic were in financial trouble would he give Sean Connory a phone, we had Russian journalists asking Lennon that if he had €100m would he help out The Rangers.

That is them being disrespectful and that is what Lennon was, IMO, referring to as well as the ITV tweet and comments from the Spartak manager.

You've had a pop at him through ignorance and fair play for you admitting it was down to your ignorance but you took the easy route and saw something Lennon said that you didn't like and then jumped in with both feet without knowing the context.

"not proven". Is that a first?

As long as you have Campbell Ogilvie still head of the SFA then it will be business as usual which is a Rangers FA not scottish FA. Its nothing short of disgraceful that his still in his job!!

Apologies due to Indi for this paragraph, I was a bit extreme and over the top.

Sorry.

It was actually ignorance on my part re the comments made beforehand. I've got no problem with bhoy07 or your responses on that. .. I wasn't going to say anything re that paragraph and was going to just leave it..

My only real issues are still with your very first response indicating that I was just looking for any excuse to get at Lennon.

After just the other week in a chat with fans in north America that The Rangers were signing a deal with Adidas, and the Adidas rep allegedly saying that The Rangers in the Scottish 3rd division were a bigger club than Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga whom Adidas have a deal worth $36m a season with, within the next 7 days Chuckles is now claiming that Puma and Warrior are now also involved in the bidding process.

It was meant generally and not at you specifically.

Puma wouldn't surprise me as they are very close with Mike Ashley, whose obviously involved in the commercial sportswear side.

But ballpark figures of £5m at the most!

Are SportsDirect going to be the new Rangers shops after JJB's meltdown?

If there's money involved in it, then he'll jump at the chance. It's pretty obvious that everything he says is just an attempt to play to the gallery.

I kind of figured they would be pushing Rangers stuff since the deal with Ashley but will they do what JJB did and practically brand some their shops as 'Rangers shops'?
I hope they do!

I doubt that. Sports Direct is a massive brand don't think they'd turn over shops to the Rangers name.

He hasn't got a mention of Sports Direct in the Newcastle club stores

Potential for a cracker in Inverness tonight, don't know why I predicted 2-2 yet have put bets on ICT.

Looks a decent atmosphere, BBC Sport saying that upto 2,500 Ross County fans expected to make the trip. Good for scottish football.

Crowd is over 6,700 more than any SPL game in Inverness last season.

How much do the Rangers players get paid in Div 3? If they implemented a pay system based on performance, they'd be getting nothing this week.

The power failure strikes again in motherwell second season in row. Don't understand why the game had to be abandoned
