How much do the Rangers players get paid in Div 3? If they implemented a pay system based on performance, they'd be getting nothing this week.
They would be paying the club for pulling on that jersey ...

Serious questions going to be asked of Mr. McCoist over the coming days - "shoogly peg" and "jacket" spring to mind.

Theres no doubt he has stuck with a nightmare of a job for the last year but he should be able to motivate a team to romp that division. When the players can win 5 and 6 at home it shows the ability is there (if it wasn't obvious) but when are worse travellers than a disabled agoraphobic then it surely must be down to the manager to take responsibility.

Mr McCoist is nothing more than a Mr Lennon wannabe.

And a poor one at that.

I stand by my opinion that McCoist is inept as a manager - with a £6/7m wage bill to play with it's like he's been given an F1 car to take part in a childs go-kart race.

Does anyone think rangers won't get promoted. Bookies will be pleased they took a lot of cash on them being undefeated

Under McCoist they will struggle - although they have the safety net of the playoffs.

But hey, they are loving life in Div 3.

Maybe it's time the SFA stopped helping them out with referees.

10 games unbeaten in league and cup for Aberdeen now. Only game we have lost was 1-0 at Parkhead on the first day of the season. Really good chance of progression in the cup as well.

Best thing though is even with several injuries we still have a good enough squad that even the guys on the bench are all more than capable players.

Thought the performance today was superb, at a ground where we usually struggle. If Ryan Fraser is still playing in the SPL next season I'll be shocked - fantastic player.

As long as Rangers remain as genuinely hellish away from home every team they face away from Ibrox will grow in confidence. I'll bet there will be a few clubs welcoming Rangers to their grounds now who will have a genuine belief that they can beat them based on the season so far who at the start of the season just saw it as a payday and full house.

Realistically you have to expect them to click into gear, but as each week passes.....

Nice to see Stirling Albion get a nice wee win today to get off the bottom of the bottom division.

I know the team they were playing hasn't won a league game away from home this season, but a win's a win

Hopefully better times lie ahead for them again.

5 wins in a row for the mighty ton and putting an end to Partick's unbeaten run in the league. Brilliant being a Morton fan at the moment.

One sour point that dirty Paisley **** Hugh Murray broke Stephen Stirling's leg and the Partick scum booed him while he was getting treatment

I heard a Sevconian on Traynor's show tonight wanting McCoist sacked. He wanted Davie Moyes to replace him.

McCoist seems to be retaining the support of the Rangers lunatic fringe (the conspiracy nuts et al)

42% win rate in SFL3 with arguable SPL players (no matter what you think of the SPL) is atrocious!

Yup, a Rangers legend he will always be. An excellent player he will always be remembered as. Someone who stuck by the club through everything again another tick in the box.

A great manager? Time will tell however I severely doubt it, Time to do what is best for Rangers and let someone with more experience take over. And it has to be someone realistic as well.

Question of Sport will be better for Ally returning too

Your first paragraph can never be doubted. Despite my obvious anti-rangers agenda i really like the guy.

"Time will tell" though? Time has told. He is absolutely genuinely inept as a manager. Cast your mind back to when he was a player, did he seem like a manager in waiting? I know thats hardly conclusive proof of anything but he was already bucking the trend to pack up his media career to be a number two. I can see him being an effective number two to someone like Smith but the very concept of him as a manager just doesn't ring true. Once you have got past the "he gets respect cos he is a Rangers legend" i wonder what substance is actually left in managerial terms.

If the whole Rangers scenario hadn't blown up when it did Ally McCoist would have got the season after Smith in charge and then been quietly moved aside.

I'm afraid the 'cheeky chappie' mask has slipped from McCoist in the past few years. From the sleekit wee remark to Lennon, and then running away, to the demand to know the names of the panel members, which he already knew, and the comments to the sevconians, to buy season tickets, says it all about McCoist.

As for his record as a football manager, it is laughable.

Credit to McCoist though, he was the one who started the Craig Whyte snowball with the results against Malmo and Maribor and it's been almost downhill ever since.

Some nonsense allegations against McCoist there.

As long as people are talking about things other than football they will miss the obvious problem.

Another point for the Rock ( Dumbarton) I suppose I should be happy , but I'm afraid they are out of their depth in this division ( GD - 19 ! ) I really hope to get to see them this season.

Yes, a really likeabe guy who to me just should not be Rangers manager at all, indeed I doubt he should be a football manager at all..

Part of his very persona that nakes him likeable and a media natural must make it difficult for him to fully respected as a manager, no matter how much of a Rangers legend he is.

His ongoing public use as a manger of players' nicknames to me is a bit cringeworthy. You're the manager now, Ally.

He has been pretty brave to step away ftrom the media and put himself up for a job that he clearly wanted and no doubt thought he could do, if anticipating much better circumstances. And he has been .extremely loyal to a club he loves.

But no, the sooner he realises he's not up to it, probably the better for everyone, unless they are purely looking for Rangers downfall.

Such as "the sleekit wee remark to Lennon, and then running away". He went right up to Lennon and said something and certainly didn't run away. Some Celtic fans like to try to portray going straight up to someone and telling them something as some sort of sneaky act.
