No away fans for Man Utd vs Chelsea next season.

Sadly, i think there's real potential things could boil over between rival fans in their fixtures next season, so imho it would be better to be safe than sorry and ban away fans from both matches next season.

Yeah, remember the intense rioting when Chelsea played QPR and Man Utd played Liverpool last season?

I'm sure the FA will be putting your very sensible plan into action immediately.

maybe if you just calmed down and stopped looking for anger in everything youd realise there is no more chance of anything boiling over as there is any other game

Would have been better if thread title ended with a question mark seeing as it hasn't and most likely won't be decided.

Yeah right, when was the last time it kicked off at either the Bridge or Old Trafford? I can't even remember the last time it kicked off outside OT for that matter.

Evem in the hey day of crowd troubles I can't recall Chelsea doing anything much anyway. It's not like they were Millwall or West Ham. Don't try and big up any sort of rivalry. The only reason Chelsea v United is a big game is because they challenge each other at the top of the league, otherwise it's a nothing fixture for United fans.

Every thread created by this FM seems to be so extravagant, like he is wanting a backlash of comments

Chelsea is one of the least intimidating grounds I've ever been to. There's a small percentage but compared to other grounds, dead as a door nail.

any game has potential to boil over, lets just ban away fans completely.....jeesh

Even as a windup away fans were banned from a season of Tyne Wear derbies and the atmosphere was just odd.

Whilst Leeds havent played there since 2004 , it was very low key , in fact you would have to go back to 1985 for the last serious trouble bewteen us , but the vists i went to in 90s and beyond were very quiet , in fact there are much woprse grounds i could think of

I think the entire fixture should be banned because I think there's a real potential that things could boil over between rival prawn sandwich eaters, and that could spread across the entire country and cause another wave of riots, and the UN will have to quarentine the British Isles to prevent the Rage Virus from spreading across the face of the planet.

I agree. In fact, as an Arsenal fan, I propose both fixtures are cancelled and, in a move that preempts the disgusting behaviour of both sets of supporters, Chelsea and Man Utd are docked 3 points.

The game is in October so maybe they could get those missile things left on the roofs and keep the Olympic security in place.
