Dinosaurs on a spaceship = this years dud episode?

I know details about the episodes haven't even been released yet but I kinda have a feeling that Dinosaurs on a spaceship will be this years Night Terrors. If they want to do a dinosaur episode why not travel back to prehistoric times?
Dinosaurs don't belong on spaceships they belong in forests along with all the trees, bushes and plants.

Rather than deduce what the script will be like purely from the title, I would prefer to wait at least to see the plot synopsis, if not the actual episode. Then I will be better-informed to reach a conclusion.

Yes dinosaurs belong in forests but Doctor Who right from the beginning has not done what is usual. Remember the first cliffhanger of all..... when the policebox is there on an unknown world watched by an unknown presence....

Have you ever played Star Fox adventures dinosaur planet? If it was like that it would be great.

Well Dr Who has done dinosaurs at Moorgate tube station before so why not a spaceship?

Perhaps someone is stealing them from the Cretaceous?

I felt like slapping my hand on my forehead when I saw this title.

Considering the cast, the characters and the premise, I HIGHLY doubt it.

Dinosaurs belong in forests? Tell that to the writers of Invasion of the Dinosaurs. It's Doctor Who, things don't have to be in context.

Wasn't the dinosaur episode originally scheduled for series 5 or 6? I seem to recall some mention of dinosaurs in the British Museum.

That what my first thought was.

I remember folks being super hyped about that movie just because of the name at the time, I suspect the same tactic is also being applied here.

How on earth can you possibly, even slightly, deduce that from a title? It seems spurious at best, and as though you're looking for negatives before the series even starts. Kind of pointless, surely?

And as others have pointed out, since when has anything in Doctor Who needed to be in context? Most stories in it's history have had things taken out of context. Just think of Silurians in a mining town, clockwork robots in the court of Versailles, Daleks and Cybermen anywhere in modern earth, any monster in any time period on earth... I could go on easily.

It's a show about an alien who travels around time and space in a police box that's bigger on the inside, yet Dinosaurs on a spaceship is a bit too unrealistic for you?

Alien siren/nurse on a pirate ship; alien prison-box under Stonehenge; vampiric fish people in the canals of Venice; robots driven by miniaturised people in Nazi Germany etc etc....is anything actually in context in DW?

Dinosaurs on a spaceship sounds pretty good to me. As long as they don't eat Rory.

I seem to remember a ship on the sea, massive monster Drashigs, chickens, and a police box inside a tiny machine back in the seventies!

I completely agree with the OP. Dinosaurs don't belong on spaceships, they belong in forests and their natural habitat.

But I'm sure the production crew had the necessary veterinary support and supervision on set to be sure no dinosaurs were harmed in the making of this episode.

I'm a pig myself and I was offended when a pig crashed the spaceship into the big ben.
