That doesn't make you any more deserving It isn't a big deal when you take into account all of the things the UK gets first in comparison. |

Also, who else is going to whinge and moan about not seeing episode 1 before the people at BFI do? Events like this have exclusives, like it or not.

As far as I was concerned, the reward I got for buying a DVD or magazine WAS the DVD or magazine. I didnt notice any fine print saying "The bearer of this gets first dibs on anything DW related in the future" |

Sadly I'm quite a poor person in terms of finances. I spend what I can afford., I would say this makes me a devoted fan...

If you're going to condemn me, at least do me the privilege of reading my statements properly. I have no desire to see anything before anyone else. That would make me no better than the whole situation I'm critisising. |

You cannot base fandom on materials. Some may argue that the many that made the pilgrimage to comic con supersede your magazine and video buying Can you not see that the fact we get the BFI previews, countless trailers, the ability to rewatch on iPlayer, the DW experience, the showing in Edinburgh, easier access to your much vaulted merchandise etc is MUCH more valuable than a 5 minute trailer showing much of the same footage we have already seen what a scathing reply |

Lets change "first" to "ASAP" shall we? I am however still of the opinion that previous financial layout should not justify special treatment now. No matter how devoted you are. |

I don't think either of us are backing down here. what a scathing reply .... and quite rightly so., misquote me and then blow it up out of all proportion. That's my response for such rot. |

Expect to get called out on these and opinions masquerading as fact. And before anyone starts, this is my view of your argument, not of your personally. |

I do believe that on the whole the UK should get preference for airing of shows and trailers. What's more I don't see what's wrong with that view. The comment you made was that I personally want special treatment because of my past investments.... such a comment wasn't made |

I personally am gutted that I haven't got to see the Comic-Con footage, having been buzzing for it all weekend and desperately checking DS for footage. I'm not saying that the Americans get everything before we do but I'm really disappointed and can't wait another day for more Who.

Whist I understand the jealousy of allen_who for not seeing the clips I have to admit that allen_who is sounding a bit of nincompoop.
America is a huge audience and a huge source of revenue, and they have cool things such as the comic con. If you cared so much then maybe you would organise a protest, maybe placards and a leaflet campaign (oops sorry, that's paraphrasing red dwarf) So, before the forum police (box) pays a visit and crushes the hopes and dreams of you guys can I suggest you take off your ass hats and make up. |

Do you really think the show would still be as strong without the overseas networks and fans?
Do they not deserve a bit of payback for sticking with the show through thick and thin |

Absolutely., and now that they've seen some footage - several days ago, can we please see it now - is that so much to ask??
Seems like a reasonable statement to me. Bought all the magazines even when it was off air. Most of the VHS videos and now the DVD's. Many of us out there have done the same - the least we deserve is a little bit of our devotion being paid back by not having to wait much more than a couple of days than anybody else to see new footage - surely? (yes it's a big deal)
