Nokia 7600 battery...
I have the Nokia 7600 on 3 and the battery seems to only last about 12hrs (on standby) just wondered if anyone knows the standby life for this phone as the CPW booklet states near 300hrs!

I used to have one of these phones and it lasted at least 2 days on standby without having to be charged.
That included making and receiving calls and texts during the two days as well. Sounds like your battery isn't holding it's charge properly. Have you tried draining it completely and then recharging it fully to see if that sorts the battery memory out? If not then you could contact Three and let them know, it may be covered under your warranty. Also, there are quite a few 7600 batteries on Ebay that seem reasonably priced. Anyway, 12 hours standby is not normal for that phone. |

If it's under 14 days then take it back to the shop you bought it from and ask for a straight swap.

That just your no questions asked money back period. To find date of manufacture simply type the following into the phone: *#92702689# Scroll down to MADE: See date, eg: 082004=August 2004. 15 months from that date. You can go further and can find out date of manufacture of battery by using following guide: nnnnnnnfffffywwdlb n=Nokia mobile phone product code f=factory code y=year of manufacture w=week of manufacture d=day of manufacture l=line code b=batch code You can take any nokia phone/accessory to an authorise nokia service centre and get it exchanged/repaired free of charge if its within the 15 month period. Accidental damage is not covered. For your local service centre see: http://www.clubnokia.co.uk/servicepoints.asp |

Just to point out, you have to be a member of Club Nokia for the free service.
I found this out when I took my old 8something phone in. (the small one) As it had screen failing problems. They fixed mine then and there for me, but someone else turned up while I was waiting and they weren't a member of club nokia. They had their phone sent away by post from the shop from repair and were told that had they have been club nokia members they could have it done while they wait too! Club Nokia is free to join and well worth it, even if just for the better service at their centres. |

Club Nokia is free to join and well worth it, even if just for the better service at their centres. Criteria for exchange * Fault confirmed * No customer damage * No liquid damage * IMEI match (*#06#) * Phone is under warranty (use IWR or request Proof of Purchase) * The proof of purchase should clearly show that the product was purchased within the previous 12 months. * The handset is a generic model, which is included in the Club Nokia scheme (use Product Code Compatibility Checker) * The end user is pre-registered with Club Nokia * Please note that some grey imports and European variants of familiar UK handsets cannot be exchanged by Club Nokia due to software issues, SIM locking etc. ================================== Many Service Points, rather than turn away business, will take your details and register you anyway even if you are not preregistered. Also under certain conditions the Sp will issue a courtesy handset (if they have one spare!) Edit: almost forgot, if you dont live near a service point you can use this formClickME to send you phone off to be repaired. Its wise to send it special delivery or get proof of posting.
