He looks utterly ridiculous in the pictures - a fully, thick, long beard after being away for a few weeks?!

Seriously!

But, hey, I don't watch or like EastEnders ...

How long will he have been away for by the time we see him back on our screens?

I've seen plenty of 'well fed' tramps in my time. They visit soup kitchens for sustenance and spend what pittance they make begging on cheap, calorie-laden stodge and ale.

The idea of staying in a hostel is that you can get washed and have a haircut and shave, as well as food and bed for the night. I like the storyline in principle, but i don't like the "comedy tramp" look they are trying to portray.

Fresh start for Ian. He will rise to the very top. It is good for him to start from the ground up. He should keep the beard.
