Dark Knight Rises at the Imax

Who is watching this at the Imax? I have an after midnight showing on the night of the Olympic Opening Ceremony so its going to be an amazing night for me! I saw the last one in the Imax as well and its well worth watching it on the bigger screen. Much prefer Imax to 3D and so glad Nolan has taken this route. I saw the latest Mission Impossible at the Imax and although its a little cheesy, the Imax camera filmed scenes on the Dubai skyscraper looked astonishing on a screen that large,.

I'm seeing it at the BFI Imax in London, at 06:00am(!) on Friday.
I try to see the blockbusters (that I want to see) there as soon as the tickets are available.
Especially looking forward to this...

You're right about Mission Impossible as well. The Dubai scenes in Imax are absolutely amazing and actually made me feel a bit sick ...

Some films just aren't made for it though, Super 8 is the film that comes to mind first ...

BTW, I still think the most outstanding bit of 3D that you can see at the cinema, is the Imax "introduction" (where you get a screening countdown that morphs into the 3rd dimension) that you get prior to the 3D screenings. Crystal clear and it feels a whisker away from your face ..
Pity no studio film has managed to replicate this yet ...

Funny you should say that, in the whole Amazing Spiderman 3d thing, the best and most impressive 3d was the advert for an LG television before the trailers.

My first trip to an IMAX screen this weekend. Looking forward to it.
Didn't realise Uxbridge had one and it's only fifteen mins away from me!

Plus I've avoided all spoilers (so far) and will not contemplate visiting other Batman threads anywhere until I've seen it.
