Finding Nemo 2

I just read that Finding Nemo 2 is going ahead under the director of John Carter.

What do you think?

I saw John Carter a couple of weeks ago and, while slow, it wasn't actually terrrrrrrrrible. I hope Ellen signs up to reprise Dory!

As long as Andrew Stanton isn't surrounded by yes-men with this one and has the ability to actually back down on stuff, it should be great. And I seriously doubt they would do it without Dory!

Looks like Pixar are finally fresh out of ideas.

Expect more of this as Disney milk their cash cow.

Yup, it's all rather sad given that Pixar used to be so incredibly innovative.

Although like everyone else I did go "sighanothersequel" when I read the article, I really wouldn't mind an Incredibles 2 and I did really like the first Nemo (although surely he can't get lost again) so I just hope it's more Toy Story 2 than the critical failure that was Cars 2

It hasn't even been made yet and already I'm hating it.

I've always wanted a sequel to 'The Incredibles' but after seeing 'Cars 2' I'm not so sure.

Cars 2 was shamelessly commercial, rumour has it even the animators didnt want to work on it. I sincerely hope this film follows the Toy Story route.

Because it's Pixar's second most successful movie ever just behind Toy Story 3. Money, money, money.

I'm excited about this, but wary about what can be done with the plot.
Are they going to call it "Found Nemo"?
Or
"Found Nemo...then lost him again".

Just wanted to let you know that we've pulled a couple of quotes from this thread for a DS reader opinion piece: 'Finding Nemo 2': What Digital Spy readers are saying

Animation Movies

I think Animation moguls like Disney and Pixar are running out of ideas because they are not coming up with material. Within the recent years they have been just make sequels, which is quite disappointing.

From Andrew Stanton's Twitter feed:

"Didn't you all learn from Chicken Little? Everyone calm down. Don't believe everything you read. Nothing to see here now. #skyisnotfalling "

I'm surprised a sequel to the incredibles hasn't happened yet considering the popularity of superhero movies over the last few years.

I loved the first one, one of my favourite pixar movie! I can't really see a sequel to this working but i have hope that it will still be an enjoyable movie.

It's obvious they are doing the sequel for all the money (hello cars 2) but imo the only pixar movie that needs a sequel is for The Incredibles... A sequel to that film would actually work and make sense and plus the first one was amazing.

Cars 2 was only made to sell toys.

Shrek should have stayed at one but every Toy Story has been worthwhile. I believe there's scope with Nemo.
