Amazing Vocalists on Superstar- Better than anything on X Factor

Why doesnt the X Factor attract this standard ? Loved the REM and Stereophonics covers.

I thought tonights show was the best so far!

Real singers are prob put off the X Factor because they dont want to be "cowellised" for years,

The bongos are an overwhelming supplement to the "vocals."

There great vocalists but the reason there not on X Factor is because they don;t have that X Factor!!

Superstar have good vocalists yes, but X Factor do still have the odd speck of talent with Leona, Alexandra, Ruth and so on.

The X Factor gets up to 20 million viewers. Superstar gets less than 3 million.

Good singers don't make for good ratings (cf. The Voice)

I think by far they have better vocalists and Nathan James definately has something about him that makes him better than the rest on the show in my opinion. Seriously if Nathan was on x factor I reckon the dude would walk it, got so much power and range its incredible

You can't really compare them since the prizes are completely different. X Factor's is a recording contract - you don't necessarily have to be the best singer for this. Superstar's is a lead musical theatre job - you HAVE to be fantastic for a job like that, so it's no wonder that Superstar's crop are much much better.

The sooner people realise that X Factor isnt about vocal talent alone the better...

The show is a hideous screamfest. Only Tim can hit the money notes by actually singing and shouting or screeching but I don't know that he's many viewers idea of "Jesus".

Desperately average line-up and the ratings have been dire. Unless things really pick up, I can see this tour playing to many empty seats.

7 to 8 million for The Voice final is pretty respectable not to mention is the most successful reality show on the BBC since Strictly, this Lloyd Webber show isnt great and it drags out, I like Rory Taylor (who I would say is just as good as Steve Balsamo) and he may win it, he's all I wait for then I turn it over because Amanda Holden makes my skin itch.

Because Superstar is about finding someone for a west-end show, someone who has the talent and experience to be able to perform shows 8 times a week. A lot of the contestants had already performed in the west-end before, or at least have equivalent experience.

The X Factor is more about 'discovering' someone new, someone who is either young and inexperienced or has never gotten their big break.

The two shows have entirely different concepts and apart from the odd exception, would attract entirely different demographics.
