That's what I've been lead to believe. It's a cloth to wipe a bumba. A blood one is a sanitary towel.

None of the definitions, that I've found, have said this.

Most give the literal meaning as 'arse wipe', although it seems to also be taken to mean a 'lady problem cloth'.

I liked Adam a great deal and was all for him winning. However, his silly tantrum over Deana 'targetting' him is just daft and naive. Did he really think he wouldn't be targetted??!

I agree that we are seeing things out of context. Don't forget Adam would not be the Channel's favourite for winning, neither would Deana, I've said before that year after year it is the ones who will grace the pages of trashy mags and tabloids that BB want to win, they make so much money from it.

Adam has been quite layed back during the show and hasn't given in to the paranoid stuff but I don't think he really trusts anyone except Lauren and Luke A.

No. No I don't. I can't tell whether this is another hysterical bash on a "forum favourite" or it's trying to make Adam look even worse. Adam's response was purely about his name being mentioned by her in regards to being targeted by the other group. He said she had thrown him under a bus, painted a big red target on his back and was badmouthing him behind his back. It couldn't be much more obvious to me what he was angry about. Adam has directed some pretty explicit comments to the ladies and talked about his genitals quite a bit in that house, he's cool with crude language - I refuse to believe he had a tantrum over a slang word.”

Ye - it was definitely about hearing his name. Dont talk to Adam's best friend about adam - he'll move beds

*facepalm*

Yes, terrible double standards on Adam's part, if it's true.

And I'm not talking about his 'part', as he is seemingly allowed to do without giving offence.

I don't know if Deana said it or not, but even if she did so what?

The article in question appeared late on Monday night the 'Adam is furious' article appeared later on Tuesday even they're both dated the same.

I still maintain if Adam was angry about the remark then he would have still been in his costume, I don't believe his reaction that we saw was related to anything but Deana's nomination talk, before BB mentioned his name he was laughing along with the rest of the HMs.

It's a load of conspiracy theory nonsense as LynxSoldier's above post proves and I've no doubt tonight's HL show will further prove that point.

If Deana's comment and Adam's anger were related they would have appeared in the same article surely?

Big Brother 2012: Deana Uppal gets a BB warning for calling Adam Kelly a c*** in Jamaican!

July 17th, 2012 by Sarah Lynn.

It’s been reported today that Big Brother housemate Deana Uppal has been given an official warning by the show’s producers after she called fellow housemate Adam Kelly a “bumbaclot”, which is apparently a Jamaican expletive that means c***.

Eekers.

According to the Daily Star, the word is also a slang term used for “a rag women use instead of a tampon.” Ew.

When Adam heard what Deana said, he reportedly told her, “You can’t say that word. It means p***y-wipe.”

Deana asked, “Is it a bad word, then?”

Adam nodded and she sighed, “Oh no, we’ll get called into the Diary Room again…”

And lo, she was indeed called to the Diary Room and warned about what she’d said.

Last night a show spokesman told the paper, “In a conversation with Adam, Deana did say the word ‘bumbaclot’.

“Big Brother then made her aware that the word was inappropriate.”

I have to say, I’ve never heard of it and would’ve been none the wiser had I heard it on the show.

But of course, it’s yet another debacle involving Adam, and Ofcom are still investigating viewer complaints arising from Caroline branding Adam “a ridiculous gorilla” and another incident in which she likened him to Martin Luther King.

I like both housemates and both have their faults but I think this could account for her crying and saying she has let herself down - the same as Adam let himself down with his childish behaviour and over reaction - STILL A FAN OF BOTH

It doesn't seem to bother the ladies in that house they were the ones all sat around discussing the size of the part in the kitchen and even using a roll of cardboard to get the point across.

I can sort of understand why he overreacted on that. Paranoia is setting in and his two best friends are up for eviction - the last thing he needs is someone he gets on with talking about him behind his back in the mood he is in. He'll probably get a bashing for being oversensitive now though, perhaps even playing the "race card"

Why are you guys debating Deana's use of the word 'Bumbaclaart', Coming from a Jamaican, this word isn't in the slightest a racially motivated it is a swear word that is generally used in anger/frustration. For instance many people would say "a wah di bumbaclaart, yuh a do?" In other words "what do you think your doing".

I hate it when people who are not Jamaican descendant try and dissect, the language and terminology like you are culturally in the know of the dialect.

All of you who are bashing Deana regarding this word need to get some perspective.
I actually feel Adam is over-reacting and is reacting to the fact he feels Deana, mentioned his name in the discussion regarding the insiders picking the off one by one.

He feels like he wasn't/hasn't been a target for them, bar Caroline, which he is complete wrong and will understand her comment when the shit hits the fan.

Exactly.

Not sure why talk of erections, 'destroy her', 'smash her back doors in', 'suck on my big fat d**k', sucking arse etc. are all perfectly acceptable, but a botty wipe comment gets a warning!

By the way if she called him a pussyclaart, they may have a case to call it the same as ****. People really need to clue themselves on over cultures.

Day 44: Unity in da House
Deana and Adam had a little hug in bed, showing they really had put their disagreement behind them.

I can only assume the 'botty wipe' comment is less flattering in manly terms. Maybe it's a male ego thing. Just a suggestion.

Because it is used by an ethnic minority of course.

The amount of accusations of racism directed at this series is ridiculous.

Exactly! I never heard of this word and dont' know how its uses so I have taken the word of people who know and %99.99 of those said same as you.

Obviously I am a Deana fan but I try to be fair and I do like Adam too! thought he was a over reacting to the nom talk. She was just trying to make her friend Luke A feel better and never thought it was going to be broadcast to the house by BB.
Anyway she and Adam have made up now. Mark of true friends. Things do happen but you resolve it. I like that.

Great post, very reasonable. Had a battle on my hands last night with the over-reaction on here about Adam's over-reaction in the house.

I actually believe Adam was suffering from shock at his friends being up. He probably was angry inside and unfortunately Deana discussing noms using him as one of the targets just was the last straw.

He's human and sometimes there's a straw that breaks the camels back that isn't always the root cause of the outburst.
I am also a fan of both with Adam slightly out in front.

I think it's a bit rich that Adam calls Deana a 'dumb broad', considering she is the one who is clever enough to see how it is all panning out, and he's behaving like a dumb botty wipe.
