Hi All,

I got my HTC Sensation XE in December last year and it has been upgraded to ICS but since then I've been experiencing a few strange things!!

First off, every now and again it seems to lose a setting of some kind because I cannot get internet access while not using wifi, I get a kind of DNS error and "this page cannot be loaded" when using either the stock browser or Chrome, the phone wont sync either during these periods. A restart solves the problem for a few days. I spoke to Vodafone but that was just 30 minutes of my life I wont get back!!

Secondly, While doing a restart the phone always goes through a "Android Is Upgrading" phase and is "Optimising application x of xx" this whole thing takes a couple of minutes each time.

And finally, more worryingly, is that the phone has started to randomly delete stuff. About 3 weeks ago it deleted nearly all the photos I've taken with it and nearly all the video clips I had put on the phone. Yesterday after another crash it deleted some music I had. All the deleted items were stored on the SD card.

I don't know if the ICS upgrade is the problem and that every time I restart the phone it gives me the "upgrading" message means that it wasn't completed properly!!

Anyone experience the same issues or have any ideas?

p.s. It is an unbranded, unlocked phone from CPW if that helps.

Thanks

I wasnt impressed with the ICS update either and had similar problems but no deleting stuff. You get the android updating everytime you restart now.All i can suggest is you do a reset.I briefly looked at going back to gingerbread but sold the phone before i got the chance.

Do a factory reset. It usually sorts out a number of problems after an upgrade. Worked with the S2 and Original sensation after ICS update so it should work with your xe. Never heard of items being deleted before?
