TV shows that you have dropped
I normally give a new show around 3-4 episodes to make a mark before considering continuing or dropping it, however there have been times where I decided to continue and down the line realized I made a mistake,
Some of these shows include: Reaper Nip/Tuck there have been other instances however when I dropped a show prematurely and afterwards went back to it to find that it was awesome. Anyone else got some |

I dropped Bones. The last season wasn't great and the idea of going through another pregnancy was too much.
A show I dropped before and then went back to was Warehouse 13. I gave up six or seven episodes in first time tound but started watching again a few years later and now really like it. |

I dropped Mrs Browns Boys half way through episode 1 only to find that a lot of people now think it is brilliant.

I dropped Flashforward and Alcatraz about half way through Season 1. But they both got canned before they made it to Season 2, so I didn't miss much.

I tried getting through the first episode of Scrubs, and I just couldn't make it. I'm seriously considering dropping The Cleveland Show as I just found it such a struggle to get through the second season that it became a chore. I series linked Season 3 on E4 but haven't touched it in 6 months.
I also dropped My Family after my tastes in comedy changed drastically, and if it counts as I watched every episode of Everybody Loves Raymond but went off of that and sold the DVDs. |

True Blood - made it through 2 dreadful seasons. Not sure how.
Nip / Tuck - dropped it after Sean's latest new girlfriend shit in a swimming pool. Season 4, I think? Without a Trace - can't remember. Somewhere in season 3 or 4. Every episode is the same and the characters were annoying. Same as.... Numbers - stopped after 2 seasons. |

I don't drop many shows but I have found that I have done it more recently.
I have dropped 2 Broke Girls (I was getting bored of the same jokes) Bones (I watched a couple of episodes when it came back, but I was finding that I was leaving it longer and longer before watching the next episode) Body of Proof (I had practically the whole season waiting to be watched, I kept trying to watch an episode and getting so bored and distracted.) And King is sitting on my box and looks to be going the same way as Body of Proof. It does take me a lot to give up on a programme recently I think I keep picking the wrong programmes to enjoy the ones I find boring and unoriginal are the ones that get second and third seasons and the ones that I like get cancelled before it has gets to the end of its season. |

I so really wanted to like and get into Fringe. but I got part way into the third episode and gave up. I struggled a little bit to finish off the pilot. I had read really good things, and it had an alternate universe/reality, and thats sounded really cool to me, and I wanted to like it.

Lost - half way through season 3
True Blood - half way through season 2. Wasn't intentional. I went on holiday, missed a couple of episodes and never bothered catching up. Star Trek: Enterprise - towards the end of season 2 The Sarah Connor Chronicles - about a quarter of the way through season 2 Friends - a couple of episodes into season 7 V - after the second episode |

Flashforward - brilliant idea, stupid plotting. Gave up about half-way into its sole season.
True Blood - Watched the first few episodes, but found it a bit too slow Star Trek Voyager - Stuck with this for waaay too long. Watched the first few seasons, waiting for it to turn into TNG. It never did. Came back for the finale. The X Files - I think I gave up around season 6. Before the T1000 turned up. Watched the final episode. Dollhouse - Huge fan of Whedon, but the first season was a struggle so no patience for season 2. Heroes - Got a few episodes into 3rd season and finally lost patience. Felt better for it. Sarah Connor Chonicles - A few episodes into season 2. The show was far better than I expected it would be, but there was always going to be a limit to where they could go with it. Scrubs - Had about six seasons on DVD...Weirdly came to the conclusion one day that I wasn't really finding it particularly funny and its zaniness was irritating. Flogged the DVDs and have never watched it since. Odd. Family Guy - Watched (and bought) the first few seasons. Got slowly wary of it. Sold the DVDs. South Park killed it completely for me after that. Have also given up on the following shows after just one episode, despite hearing good things about them. I didn't really give them a fair shot, but assumed that they weren't for me: Dexter Game of Thrones Fringe - I occasionally hear about current plotlines and am baffled as the pilot didn't seem to have much in common with them. |

Flashfowrard, never went back to it after the mid-season break.
Breaking Bad, about 4 episodes in, never gone back to it. Family Guy, just felt like it had run it's course. It was hilarious during S1-3 though. |

CSI Miami, apparently, the most watched show on earth.
It stopped being unintentionally funny a while back. Two Broke Girls has lost it's star performer "Chestnut" and is the lesser for it. |

The 4400
The Shield Unforgettable King Breaking Bad Falling Skies Alcatraz Grimm I suspect there's probably more over the years. Part of me wants to give up on NCIS because i'm getting fed up of the "case of the week" format, but i keep thinking i've watched it since Season 1 and to drop it at Season 10 seems daft
