Shows include:
Falling Skies- during season 1-Had a lot of potential but it was just too inconsistant and characters personalities seemed to change quite alot.
Grimm-After a few episodes - Acting terrible, CGI terrible, plot terrible...
The Killing US-during eason 1- So Boring and tedious.
Body of Proof- During the first episode, Dana Delany cliche lines and her terrible acting made me turn off during the episode!
NCIS LA after season 2- Not enough interaction with the Main Show, not even references. However it was dropped due to trimming the fat of TV shows. Plus it was a generic procedural and didnt have any heart, humour, trust of the Main Show
Castle-after season 3- The same reason as NCIS LA, trimming the fat of what TV shows i watch, it is just a generic procedural.
Bones- after season 6- The same reason as NCIS LA and Castle as it was trimming the fat. Just a generic procedural.
The Mentalist- after season 3- Same as NCIS LA, Bones and Castle. Was trimming the fat as it was just another procedural. However Simon Baker kept me watching Longer as Patrick Jane.
CSI (all three) - Again trimming the fat as they are generic procedurals but the cheesy-ness, more unrealistic approach to crime annoyed me.
Blue Bloods- During Season 2- Again the show had lots of potential but it just fell into that generic procedural. The show should of been more serialised and consistant.
Haven- First couple of episodes- It was just too boring, lacked pace, decent background and didnt have any energy.
Dexter- During season 6- Plotlines about Faith and God and Villian not being too evil or twisted akin to earlier big bads. Plus the incest storyline and internal politics made me switch off.
Glee- During Season 2- Stayed waaaay too long with the show. Ruined more and more songs, plotlines repeat themselves, Lea Michelle, and i couldnt bare to see Jane Lynch through it all away.
2 Broke Girls- After Season 1- I wont be going back to the show, too stereotypical and you can see the jokes coming. When shows like Community, 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Modern Family and the likes exsist its tough to defend why shows like this still get made. Same goes to Whitney and Up all Night which i dropped after a few episodes.
Two and a Half Men- After Season 9- I gave it the whole season, unlike others and I wont be going back for Season 10. The show has lost its charm without Charlie Sheen.

Should point out that Burn Notice would be on the list however i came back to it. Burn Notice is a generic procedural with a thin storyline arc but its filler fun. Plus Bruce Campbell is in it!

Still watch CSI and CSI:NY but gave up on Miami midway through season five. Most other occasions I've dropped something partway through the first season, including Harry's Law,Touch,Carnivale and True Blood. Homeland I enjoyed but only watched one episode of Prisoners Of War as just couldn't get into it at all.

I dropped Falling Skys half way through Season 1. However people have told me Season 2 is pretty good. Can this be true?

^I think it's remain at the same level of quality and am liking what I see - so maybe if it didn't do it for you, then probably it still won't do anything for you.

I love Sci/Fi and I had so many high hopes for Falling Skys and I thought it just sucked. I like Doctor Carter from ER but the scripts where terrible. Brilliant idea. Aweful scripts.

Im 3 episodes into season 3 of 24, and not sure if i could manage another 5/6 years of it

without spoilers, does the quality stay the same?, does it keep getting repetative?, does kim keep getting kidnapped every episode?
Actually, dont answer that, she may be dead by now.

is it worth me keep watching do you think?

^re: 24 - maybe watching all 7 seasons over just a couple of days is kinda pushing thinga to the extreme <- just a tad. I've seen them all and had a blast thru out (you've also got that mini-movie that preceeded season 6 (or was it 7) to watch too). Maybe give things a rest after each season will help keep things 'fresh'

The rule should be a show that you have seen at least 4-5 episodes counts as one that you've dropped should you choose not to continue with it. Watching the first episode and then not continuing with it doesnt count. It is like taking a free sample which is what a pilot episode does sets up the premise and is made for the person to decide whether or not the show is for them or not.

I dropped Breaking Bad after 2 seasons, I had the 3rd season unwatched for over 6 months before getting rid of it. I might try again since I know its really well written and I did like the character of Jesse (skylar, not so much!) and since I have watched damn near everything else I might have even a passing interest in - season 3 here I come...

Family Guy - gave up around season 8 or 9 as I didn't find the newer episodes particularly funny

Smash - I watched the first 9 or so episodes, missed one and didn't care enough to catch up. I quite enjoyed it when I watched it but it didn't have that addictive, 'must see' quality and I was pretty much indifferent to all of the characters on it

Awake - Once it got cancelled, I still gave it a go but got bored of it, dragged out to much.

Hellcats - Loved it but just ended up getting a bit behind, got cancelled anyway so never caught up.

Smash - I gave the first few episodes or so a go but just wasn't for me i'm afraid.

Boardwalk Empire - two episodes into season 2, boring and over-rated.

Deal or no deal.
i used to love it when it first started and never missed a show but since they gave it extra time and dragged out all the sob stories and long drawn out 'dram' i can't bear it, they
defately ruined it, another one is

Who wants to be a millionaire!...
now it's the 'fast' action on that that has put me off of this one, i feel on edge all the time with it so i can't bear to watch that now either!...

The next one that will be going i think is,,,,

Doctors..........
Zara was the best thing in that show, so now she has gone, i don't think i will be tuning in for much longer............

Oops..... just seen this is the US tv shows... sorry i wan't concentrating properly..........................
