She could be hilarious - depends on how much of her articles is down to the Daily Mail editing and how much of it is her own delusion. But given that she thinks women don't like her because of her beauty, she can't hold out much hope for us voting for her as a winner.

I do think she is suffering from some delusional illness that........ or she has a magic mirror at home!
She is not ugly but she really isn't as attractive as she thinks she is.
All woman are highly jealous of and complete bitches because of her being beautiful and all.
Will be interesting how she copes in a house which WILL include very pretty young girls.

The problem with this is that its not beauty that makes other women insecure, I know some very beautiful women who don't press my buttons - who are lovely and completely trustworthy and true friends. I know 2 not so beautiful, just normal looking women who do press my buttons

Both of the 2 who do act the same way - they are exceptionally flirtatious with my husband, very tactile and their boundaries are non existent. They make snide comments towards me, they know what my insecurities are and actively play on them.

So to Samantha Brick, Id like to know whether its actually her looks, or her behaviour that makes other women dislike her.

She's done a great disservice to women's view of other women and of their own relationships in saying that they are that shrewish and shallow to be terrified of another woman's ability to steal their man just based on looks.

She's done a great disservice to men to possibly imply that men are stealable by a 'better looking' woman than their partner despite their love for their partner.

Leaving aside whether people actually agree that she is 'beautiful', some women, who are insecure (think Ashleigh) may behave like that. I'd bet that her personality has far more effect on other women, than her looks.

Far more harmful, imo, is how many men treat 'beautiful' women. In tests, which involved men watching news reports, half of which were read by men and the other half by attractive women, most of the men could not recall a single news story read by the women!

I agree with you, but that's when you get to know someone, what I was talking about was first impressions. Its natural to on some level feel resentful or jealous, when first meeting someone who you consider to be better looking.

Its a fact that everyone makes a first impression of someone within 2 seconds. The fact that good looking people dont make you feel insecure is a good thing. But their will be people, on a subconcious level that you do take a dislike to.

Yes, but it will be based on my perception of their attitudes, more than their looks.

I think Deana was affected by this, on the first night. As she was concentrating hard on trying to judge who she should nominate, she may have come over as rather cold and been judged on that.
