What on earth? Did Deana ask someone to play with her? Why is it so sad, I just don't get it.

I quite like Deana, but surely playing swingball alone is not necessarily a tragedy!!
I do this quite often myself as a way of thinking and just passing the time.Like someone else asked already, did everyone else refuse to play with her? It's making housemates into idols who have to be pitied every time they are not at the centre of the BB universe that put people off them! The same thing happened with Aaron last year, although I just didn't like him! |

It was sad, but i also thought - good for her not letting the busturds get her down!

She's a loner by nature, she's most likely one out of the house, too. She's not a 'nasty' or vindictive person, but then she's not too interested in other people, she lives in her own little sheltered world.

Whether or not she asked someone to join her in the game is immaterial, BB chose the image of her solitary game to reinforce the visual metaphor. Still it was a powerful image and did the job. |

As has been said, Deana is a solitary person by her own nature and character, which is fine anywhere else, but why does BB think a person like that would fit successfully into a BB house?
She may win but not because she is a great housemate, more " the underdog has to make good, isn't she sweet" "Aw, bless" syndrome. |

She likes time alone (at least an hour a day she has said!) so it's not sad at all!

I vaguely remember that scene. I seem to think others were there, quite near to her, talking and if so, I suspect that Deana was doing what she often did at that time - listening in, whilst appearing to be casually doing something else.

how many of Deanna's fans are "captains" and see her as the damsel in distress they want to save ?
Adam will know about this record right here. http://youtu.be/_7vQSPBtwyc |

Good grief, what a silly post. A lot of people like time alone, myself included. I don't see what's sad about it

I'm almost sure I have seen housemates doing other solitary activities on their own as well - having a shower, going to the toilet, eating a bowl of cereal, even sitting in the garden having a fag. I hope they all win, these sad, brave people. |

Since she's playing swingball alone, I think she's bound to win to be honest.
Oh wait, you mean win BB don't you?

[quote=Mercier;59683388]And you know this how? Big Brother is basically a 10 week long protracted game of It. Deana was chosen by Endemol to be It on the very first night and whether she likes it or not that's her role in the house and truth about being It is that everyone runs away from you because no one wants to be It.
By her behaviour in the house, she's very self sufficient, she doesn't get too riled about anything apart from Conor hating her, which is quite a normal reaction by anyone. When Lauren and Luke A were up, as Adam said, - her comment was 'Oh well, Ill be up next week'. She doesn't form strong bonds with people, it won't bother her that either Luke or Lauren are going. Her reaction to Becky using her in the first week as a 'friend', if she was naturally extravert and gregarious it would not have bothered her as much as it did and would indicate she is not used to having 'friends'. I would doubt if she's many good friends - through her own choice - on the outside either - IMO. |

Deana is a bit of an introverted loner. That's one of the reasons I like her! You don't get many on BB.
