Hi, I really want my hair to go in a messy bun, but it just doesn't go sometimes it does after i've had it in a ponytail all day etc, but I would love to know why it just doesn't go in a messy bun!

I wash my hair once every two days and on the day i don't wash it I use dry shampoo

Thanks

In which way will it not go?? Is your hair too short? Or is it a particular type of messy bun you want?

I personally just make sure my fringe and top of my hair is neat and styled and then i just gather my hair reasonably high and i gather my hair in a bun and then wrap the bobble around it instead of doing a bun from a pony tail..it looks more messy for me =) i then pull the bun out a bit more to give it a looser look and then spray with a small amount of hairspray. Hope this helps!

There are a couple of really good tutorials on youtube. Have a look, not sure what you want so haven't linked.

The other option is to buy a hair piece from ebay. I got one from China for a couple of quid. I put my hair in a ponytail and wind it round into a tight bun and pin it on top, looks fabulous.

You could go to a hairdresser and pay them to style it for you. Pay close attention to what they do and you can probably replicate it yourself.

Can you not wash your hair quite so often? "Dirty" hair tends to behave a bit better in that kind of scenario in my experience!

Yes, this. If not how about Lee Stafford's 2nd day shampoo & conditioner? Or some sea salt spray might help.
