I'll give it a read. I had a couple of close enounters with Buccaneers while hill walking in the Highlands many years ago - the first time we could hear it, looked up but couldn't see anything... then we realised we were above it.

The second time we were in a car and one came over very low. As my mate said "Any lower and he'd be paying road tax!"

The MD-87 will be making its last European flight on Sept 1st with SAS. Sad to see the mad dogs go.

I wonder why some folk pay extra for priority boarding passes, surely the less time spent sitting in a cramped airline seat the better. Most times when I've flown I'd sit in the lounge till the queue had boarded then board as late as possible, provided there were allocated seats of course.

Last time I flew, I left my hat in one of the pockets on the seat in front of me. It was with Ryanair from Alicante last October.......if you found it please let me know

Well, biggest airport in the world, needs a discussion thread.

Discuss travels, what's going on at the moment (My airport is Birmingham but I'll start a thread on that if this goes well).

Well birmingham airport has to be the shittest airport ever. Second biggest city and they fly hardly anywhere. The have no good airlines, there needs to be more flights to america from there.

I hate taking the tube to Heathrow, it's such a drag!

I have no problems with the airport itself, apart from the huge number of people, but that's inevitable. They have a much better selection of shops and restaurants than Stansted though.
