And they might change the schedule around yet, we'll have to wait and see, where did you get your schedule from? I'd like to see the full BBC v.s ITV.

That should be EastEnders, not Emmerdale!

ITV have a shameful Xmas Day schedule. No teatime films.

5.30 Best Ever Christmas Moments
6.30 Emmerdale
7.00 Millionaire
8.00 Corrie
9.00 Midsomer Murders
11.00 News
11.15 FILM: Finding Forrester

On Boxing Day ITV have Mary Poppins and Agatha Christie's Marple.

That's because ITV have the lowest revenues from advertising at xmas, isn't it ??

Yes they pull out the big guns in the weeks leading up to Christmas so that Xmas ads can be charged more for (I'm a Celebrity etc) then dump any old sh*t on at Christmas.

The BBC is where it's at this Xmas, every Xmas!

That is dreadful Apart from Corrie absolutely nothing for me. And Mary Bleeding Poppins FFS (although if anyone shows The Wizard of Oz I'll be deliriously happy )

I actually think ITV will do better this Xmas than last year as with Emmerdale, Corrie and Midsomer Murders they have 3 shows with a regular following. I think Midsomer Murders gets ratings similar to Emmerdale when it's on usually.

I think if BBC had put Shrek or Harry Potter on instead of Bend It Like Beckham they would have wiped the floor with ITV. I just don't think Bend It Like Beckham is as good as the other two and not big enough of a draw to take away too many Corrie viewers from missing that episode and it probably won't take away as many Emmerdale viewers as the other films would.

ITV have got plenty of good shows that they could do specials of yet they choose to go and put a so-called special of millionaire which no-one watches and probably a repeat of Midsomer Murders on.
I don't know about you lot but I'd like to see a special of the fabulously over-the top Footballers Wives.

I don't think you can really say that noone watches Millionaire. Plus it's a new episode of Midsomer Murders

Some of the storyline for Hollyoaks and Corrie sound good this Xmas, cant believe Dan dies.

Also I think ITV's schedules arent bad, better than BBC anyway

How many more new episodes can they do for MM? There can't be many left alive in those small villages. Poor Stinging Nettles must have a nightmare job keeping a lid on that lot!

Yeh am not impressed with EastEnders and Corrie clashing. I didn't think there was a Boxing Day episode or a Xmas Eve episode of Enders. According to Waveguide there is no episode scheduled for 24th December, theres two on Xmas Day an then the next one is 27th, day after Boxing Day.

I wonder which soap will come off best if they clash. Corrie gets the head start, but if it's boring...

Well Corrie last Xmas Day was boring, with Toxic revealing to Steve that Amy was his. Enders won the ratings battle last year, but I just read that for Enders transmission dates and times are subject to change, which means there probably will be a Xmas Eve episode and the second Xmas Day epi will be moved away from Corrie.

Thank god!

That's a silly thing to do. Am I the only one who's surprised Emmerdale has no hour-long episodes?

I was reading the Mirror yesterday, it had thr xmas tv guide, and I dont think EE and Corrie will clash, they'll change it somehow, because nothing is properly confirmed yet, and alot of it consisted of TBA's throughout some of the days.

Dont worry - 10 minutes with Patsy Kensit will seem like an hour

6.00 - EastEnders
6.30 - Emmerdale
8.00 - Coronation St (1 hr)
9.00 - EastEnders
