There really should have been a voice-over saying "Warning tonight's episode of Coronation Street contains excessive cringe scenes that viewers may find distressing" before the episode aired .... just saying

Yes I agree that the pervious Ryan Connor was a wooden actor but he is by far more bearable than this new ****! This is just adding to negative reaction to Michelle!

I thought they recast him as the previous actor was supposedly poor, this guy is just as bad if not worse and looks older than Liam Connor, his uncle.

It WAS cringey, but I found it quite funny, to be honest! The fact that he's quite easy on the eye helped, as I'm quite shallow when I want to be!

It's not just his age though, it's the characters change of... well character isn't fitting with how he was when he left, I know people change but isn't this too dramatic?

He is even worse tonight. This is a terrible and unbelievable recast.

I seem to recall everyone moaning about Ben Price being too old when he was cast as Nick. It really isn't a big deal.

Funny story line but what are Corrie thinking bringing in a man that looks more suited to be Michelle's BF not her son and he's gone from a long haired well respecting baby faced lad to a short haired tearaway scheming little snake. Fair enough if they needed to change the actor but this is a all a bit much so sudden, lol. :yawn:

Very valid point - ever since her introduction, you'd think she's been pitched into the wrong type of story-lines - this really suits her and fair play

He's more like Michelle's boyfriend. I can't watch without thinking they're gonna kiss or something...IT'S WRONG!

Was he really such a goody goody two shoes? He vandalised The Kabin and went joyriding in Michelle's boyfriend's car (albeit after he'd discovered his affair with Sean). Uni can change people, and Ryan always had that naughty side to him - it's just been brought out more.

Agree 100%. Eva has been brilliant tonight. Just cant stand Ryan. Hate his guts. Want to smack him in the face with something very hard to wipe that smirk off it.

It's as bad as Nick Tilsley leaving as freshfaced Adam Rickitt and coming back as a 40 year old man.

I was never a fan of Adam Rickitt who was cast on looks alone but it seems a strange decision to remodel Nick as a hunky fella with a six pack for a few years only to then cast a plain much older actor in the role?


Both are terrible actors imo.
